With a room full of ashtrays and alcohol I bet
Might as well throw a Statue of Liberty lighter into the mix.

Amuro (Bourbon) adopted Kogorou's old man pun talk after being Kogorou's apprentice for a long time

Well, it looks like the cat was only the tip of the iceberg. I was all prepared for a nice ending to the story, but this is a bit more interesting, even if it is fairly expected. Hopefully there will be more suspects than just the guy who bolted.

He just knows Conan: is behind the Sleeping Kogorou act, feigns innocence and sweetness to get people to drop their guards, and is far more intelligent than any little kid. He's had no reason so far to investigate Shinichi Kudou and to deduce that Conan is Shinichi.

No clue about the current chapter other than that Conan didnt think the door would shut down and it opened without a key?

I was extremely surprised by Haibara... I mean Conan lacks in matters of secretive behaviour and caution for a while now... No wonder Sera and Bourbon are on his heels...
Thus I am not even surprised anymore that he doesn't put in the least bit of effort into concealing his abilities from the Tokyo police...

But Haibara?!?! She was always more reasonable in that regard... and now? Some time ago she would have scolded Conan for being so careless and obvious, and now she actually points it out to others, how incredible his deductive skills are?!?!

I took a stab at DCW about that. Both the lock and the u-bar could be done with ribbon, and then the ribbon pulled out through the side of the door, leaving no residue behind. I verified it IRL on my own door. As for suspects, I think LP lady and the man are the most suspicious, but I don't have any hard evidence to pin it on either of them because any one of the three could do the ribbon trick quickly. I know the man lied about liking cats, and he seems to know how they behave. LP lady freaking out over Mitsuhiko leaving the lights on is weird. I can't connect that to the trick though, other than the cat might interfere and play with the ribbon and leave blood behind on it and maybe ribbon bits in his claws.

I see, if one day they mention "Kudou Shinichi", he will investigate, I think >.<

I agree with you; the ribbon trick is fairly simple and could have been done by anyone. I doubt that it will have any relevance to the case APART from showing that it wasn't an accident.

I think it will come down to the question who was supposed to get the cat...

I doubt the LP lady was the recipient, since she (seemed to) didn't like cats (that cat) and it seemed reciprocal...

The other woman could have been the recipient, since she likes animals, but she certainly has no clue about them... the tail-wagging was no sign of happiness (it's a cat, not a dog), but rather irritation... therefore I believe Taii was unfamiliar with her, which would exclude her from the suspects, because the culprit had to release the cat from the box...
I know the man lied about liking cats, and he seems to know how they behave.
Thank you, Chekhov... now that you mentioned that, I finally understand what the bit with Genta loosing his stuff was about... :) If he was really assaulted by a cat on that morning, he would never have reached into a cats striking zone unless he was sure that cat wouldn't hurt him. Thus he must know that particular cat well enough (whether he likes cats, I don't know from that) and Taii recognized him also at the beginning. (tail up and meowing "nya")

So... my guess is that he was the recipient, and is also the culprit, but I couldn't prove it beyond a doubt...

And what the outburst of LP-lady was about, I have no idea... I mean the lamp was a fluorescent lamp and thus environmentally sound (if I am not mistaken)... what that might have to do with a murder, no idea...

Now conan has officially became McGuyver.
He always "accidently" able to get the necessary components to make a "make-shift tool".

Btw Gosho-san seems more and more deliberately showing to the reader that Conan has changed. Now he does not care to hide his super detective ability.
