According to the "Upcoming Schedule"(on the main page of DCTP site), there's no break. And chap 863 and 864 are already out. So let's just wait for DCTP to translate them ^^.

The release date listed on the front page is for when they come out officially in Japan, the official DCTP release time for a file is just "when it's done."

I believe that Kid will turn out to be Makoto, it's annoying me how he used white gloves when opening one of the 100 letters, and how he asked everyone to leave the room, it's as if he's creating a perfect scenario for his escape, though I don't have any evidence ofc. I still don't understand the reason behind the 100 letter(distraction?), nor do I get why Sonoko was apologizing. Anyways, looking forward for the next release!

After looking somewhere else for chapter 863, I found out that DCTP already translated it.

Some points I took note of:
i. At page 90 last panel, Sonoko held Makoto's hand wishing him goodluck. (The act seems suspicious to me. I was thinking that Sonoko did something to Makoto's hand or watch, possibly putting some glow-in-the-dark paint or something? )
ii. Makoto started wearing gloves at page 11 last panel, when opening the letters.
iii. At page 13, he stopped wearing gloves. Conan felt they were already tricked.
iv. At page 14, Sonoko told him not to forget the dress she wears. At the last panel, I don't see the necklace on him anymore. He must have just hidden it inside his clothes.
v. At page 15, Conan discovers that the invisible ink, possibly a citrus juice due to having fruitty smell, does not react to black light, unless.. (The paper is fluorescent, the ink won't be noticeable if the paper glows brighter. I'm not sure bout this)

I guess the letters are used to confuse Makoto during dark, or possible locators. I think that Makoto's weakness is Sonoko. Kid might use that in disguise, and apparently Sonoko is helping Kid. But Gosho is Gosho. Who knows? XD

I noticed the lack of discussion with this case, because people's posts were helpful for me to comprehend the manga.

Just read 823 and... its amazing, gonna reread it when I wake up when the hundreds mails started coming and conan was like "I got a bad feeling that we got caught by him"

I'm just going to be amused that for butting in Conan almost got himself crushed. He really has to remember that Kid knows to dodge.

This case was really rubbish. Kid and Makoto usually appear in the most nonsensical cases (Kid walking in the air, Makoto avoiding a bullet etc.) so add the two together and you get a big pile of WTF.

Honestly, at the beginning, I was really looking forward for the case, but now that it's ended, I can't but agree with every word you said.

Maybe it's because I had high expectations when the case first started, but this was just terrible. The case itself was really simple, and it was just full of ridiculous parts.

I think this would have done better as a Magic Kaito story then a Detective Conan one. Kaito having to deal with the jealous boyfriend of a fangirl would make for a good story. Conan felt sort of in the way so maybe if this was written from Kid's POV it would have been more interesting.

Anyway so Sonoko got to feel up Kid last case and this one she got to be his accomplice I think she's done the two things every Kid fangirl must dream about.

While I agree the case was pretty weak plot-wise, I was actually amused by the setup. I mean, really, how often do we get to see Sonoko act like a real human being?

In this file entire time I felt it was Makoto (well, Sonoko too) who was moving everything forward. It was MakotoxSonoko-centered case and actually I can't stop thinking that maybe also doing it the other way round would be good - by this I mean removing Kaito Kid and making a story based only on this pair.
Despite this seemingly logical setup and all, I felt the execution was weak, as if it was written in haste. Kid cases should be a rare treat, something really huge and complicated; Kid himself should be a tough nut to crack but now he's like only dropping in to say "hi" and has become more like The Funny Weirdo character with no real... "boom" (I don't know how to phrase it ).

I didn't really expect anything from this case. Last Kid heist was so-so and I actually thought Gosho will create only main plot and "usual murders" files after making two KK related cases almost successively. I just hope this time Gosho will wait longer and then make something solid.

That said, in the end the case wasn't that bad... there've been worse . I hope it's just temporary .
