although I dislike CompE myself (I'm CompSci), it's still a good major to choose (unlike Information Systems).

And I would totally stalk you in your first days of class if I wasn't across the country.

oh man, I have the worst case of senioritis EEVVEERR now!

Hey, son; treasure what's left of it. I really miss my high-school days and a lot of the people I'd grown up with for so long. I hardly get to see any of them now, and while I've met a lot of new people at college, it's hard to compare to the old days. Don't skip any of the big senior activities as lame as they may seem--they'll be unforgettable, trust me.

College does have the huge plus of freedom, though. Now I'm off to reminisce about all of the random trouble I got into. MY OLD AGE IS WEARING ON ME, I TELL YOU!

I took APCS in high school, and I thought it was a bit too boring and not enough hands on.  I like a mix of both hardware and software, I found that CS was more based on theory which, isn't that bad, but still.

I had a really bad case of senioritis, then I got to college and I sort of wondered to myself why I had senioritis anyway, because it's not like it was the end of work anyway

and I would say don't base a major by its AP class

though my HS didn't have an AP CS class, I will say the CS class we had was pretty stupid and didn't touch on anything interesting
