While I love long-running shonen, watching the Soul Eater anime is a hyping breath of fresh air. Mainly coming from the animation and pacing.

While I love long-running shonen, watching the Soul Eater anime is a hyping breath of fresh air. Mainly coming from the animation and pacing.

The animation is consistent in quality, which is great. I also feel like, while it's not like there's no filler at all, there's never been too much that it drives you insane with "GET BACK TO THE PLOT NOW", just the right amount to give you breathing space. Plus, I love the characters. (Now shipping Soul x Maka and broshipping Maka x Chrona forever.)

my main issue is more that the series would be stretched to be twice as long with half the animation budget while still covering exactly the same thing.

I mean, I know panning shots and staredowns can be cool but cmon!

...which is why long-running shonen series typically can't hold me for much longer than 200 episodes (if that).

Caught up on DC, Chihayafuru, and Achiga-hen after a long break of not watching anime at all.

The leader of the enemies from the boring first 10 minutes somehow has the Earth and maybe the military knows and is trying to keep it secret because that's always what the military does in fiction. Or maybe the enemy leader ate the Earth because. Like the guy is beaten by the enemies so I assume he'd be taken to their leader or something.

Finished Code Geass awhile ago. Overall its a great show, despite few issues in the second half of its second season.

I was sad to see Lelouch go in the end, he was my favorite CG character

I also finished Fate/zero. It was great, although the first season was rather slow. It made me consider watching Fate/stay night, but the impression I got from others is that its not that great and not worth watching, so...

Don't watch F/SN, eventually there will be a remake by UFOtable, or just play the visual novel. I loved Fate/Zero, both halves. The first half has a different air to it compared to the second. True it doesn't have as much action, but that Kayneth and Kiritsugu scene..oh mama.
