Also, snow's stopped, at ~24 inches where I measured it.

My feelings exactly.

It's finally stopped here, and thankfully isn't sitting too deep, but you basically have to walk everywhere with the salt shaker out of your kitchen to avoid slipping on the ice. It melts a little, then refreezes, then melts a little (just enough to be a thin layer of water on ice), then refreezes into even smoother ice... DX

yeah well, the last time England had this much snow was probably like 80 years ago (it has never ever been this cold either)

it was amusing seeing how many parts of England were running out of grit and we don't exactly have vehicles to plough the snow since we usually don't get that much snow.

there was quite alot of cases where people died of being trapped in their houses without central heating - or locked out of their house and froze outside.

I find it randomly amusing that England almost never gets much snow, and NEW England gets LOTS of snow every year....

I think it was last week. My brother's high school has students from outside the local district bussed in for school. One of them decided to close early because of an impending snow storm. Since it was a good-sized amount of the student body, they decided to enact an early dismissal for the entire school. And what did they get? Not even a dusting. And this isn't the first time it's happened.

Also, the storm from last week, from what I heard, dumped about two feet in Philadelphia, about seven inches in Allentown (where I live), but Scranton (where I'm currently attending university), which has been getting on-and-off snow for weeks, didn't get a single flake. XD

Anyway, they're predicting another storm for tomorrow. Current projections say 7 to 11 inches by tomorrow evening. Obviously, people are rooting for cancellation of classes tomorrow. While I don't particularly care either way, seeing as how I hardly ever go out anyway, I would like a day off from classes in the middle of the week. I can get stuff done that I'm way behind in and maybe curl up with a good book.

Another snowstorm's supposed to start up tonight; my neck of the woods is getting approximately ~18 to 24 inches, on top of the 16 inches we already got.

It's actually two nor'easters in one, so it'll be very strong, snowing from tonight until tomorrow evening.

the snow started a few hours ago for me. Don't think we're getting quite 18-24, but we got our huge mass of snow during the last storm.

There was a snow storm yestrday
Now there snow all over the growned

Had to shovle are dive way yesterday
cause where the only ones on my block that dosent have snow plow
and=the reson why is because are drive way is the only dive way on the block that dosent have cement for the dive way-its all just rocks-

This is shaping up to be a long winter

The goundhog told us it would be a long winter and it came true
