It's not like I don't like the idea, it's more that I just want it to be Amuro XD

As for the kanji, Gosho based Akai on the Gundam character Char Aznable. Therefore having Char's VA share a similar kanji in his family name with Shuukichi could imply towards Akai and Shuukichi being siblings. Plus, their names are too similar: Shuuichi and Shuukichi. :V

Haneda Shuukichi is Sera's brother... say what??? But I guess it makes sense that Yumi would call him Chuukichi. Shuu-ni is the eldest. Chuu-ni is the middle. Hahah XD


I prefer her 'smart' brother be Okiya. >.<
On the otherhand, I thought maybe Sera is mocking Conan alluding that Akai (Conan) is a different person, that she was calling the 'smart' 2nd brother (Shin'ichi) for hints. In which in Conan's case, Conan = Shin'ichi.

Yeah. I kinda like the idea somehow, and kudos to the one who first brought the idea.. but if that's the case I would mind that Shuukichi is the smart one. Yeah, he IS smart but there's connotation that he's smarter than Akai. No way. XD just my preference though.

That's the basic idea. He's a good pick because he is intelligent enough that Sera might think of him as the "smart one" and he SPOILERS ( would recognize Conan from a picture ) SPOILERS. I am not yet a strong supporter of any particular middle brother theory so far, other than Okiya is Akai, at least the Okiya we have seen so far.

If Shuukichi is the second brother then Akai is a mix of Sera and Shuukichi but with better qualities ; he's stronger than Sera(assuming he's the one who taught JKD to Sera) and would be smarter than Shuukichi.. but it would be difficult 'cause Shuukichi seems very smart and great detective as a Shogi champion so maybe on par with him, hehe.

This is all assuming that there IS a second brother. It's still possible that Sera was trying to throw Conan off by saying so, and was really speaking to Okiya/Akai (though, considering he's still pretending to be dead, the chances of him speaking to his sister... are probably not good).

This whole second brother business... I still can't really accept this being anything but misdirection. Gosho is trying to set up something unorthodox. It's never meant to be as simple as it seems.

Okiya is actually the third (intelligent) sibling, and doesn't look like either Akai or Sera because he keeps his eyes closed all the time.

Akai's just dead.

A problem with that is when Okiya finally opened an eye in the last panel of Ch 824, he looked very much like Akai and Sera. I don't think Sera would say he doesn't resemble her based on having his eyes closed.
