Post a link to view it online and I'd be up for chat. I never watched the original series so I'm not particularly familiar with it beyond Wrath of Khan.

I can't get the app (US store only) and playing it directly doesn't work. Not sure whether that's due to using an iPad or region-lock though. I can watch it elsewhere, but I'm waiting until Thursday (exam today so).

Use Media hint for Chrome (and Firefox too). It works well, but your browser takes about 20 seconds to initialize. That'll play it directly.
Godd thing we do have an edit button, even if the posts are 7 hours apart as in this case. Spock: This is a Class-M planet not worth inspection, Captain.
Jim: Then, ahead, Warp factor one Mister Sulu.

I just finished watching the 2009 movie. This is the only Star Trek I've ever seen, and I think I'm going to start watching the original series in my spare time. I'm using Amazon, though. (Free streaming, woohoo!)
3DS FC: 4699-5851-2068
I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Got distracted by exams and Colbert for a while (it's surprisingly hard to get hold of his stuff in the UK, more than short clips anyway) but yeah, I'm watching now. Where're we going up to? Episode 3, was it?
Btw Manga, if you can't locate anywhere to watch it on the internet drop me a PM; the CBS thing is probably region-lock so.

Which is why manga should download the chrome/firefox app Mediahint which disables region lock. I downloaded it years ago. I dont even know if Hulu streams in the UK, you know! Either way, Manga did say torrents 90% done. So let me inaugurate the discussion. How did you like "The Man Trap"?

I haven't watched it yet. I've started working five full days a week and also it's been sunny so I've been outside doing stuff instead of inside watching stuff, so I haven't even finished Soul Eater and I really want to do that before starting something else ^_^;
EDIT: started and enjoying the first few episodes. It's alternately very philosophical and charming in its crappy special effects and sixties hairstyles. Also, d'awww, young George Takei. (And I am discovering that I find Spock a very attractive half-human being as Leonard Nimoy as much as Zachary Quinto.)
Sorry for double-posting, but this thread is going dead and I have to say that at this point in my watchthrough of TOS I am continually losing my shit at Leonard Nimoy's facial expressions. For a guy who professes to express no emotions, Spock does a fabulous "10057.4% done with you and your shit, captain" face.
Also, I only just discovered that the 2009 movie has a gag reel. Zachary Quinto, I would flip out at you for not being able to pronounce a single line first time around if you weren't so damn adorable when you flub. Also, all of the love for Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine for doing a whole one of their scenes in quite a lovely Irish accent.

The "crappy" special effects you mentioned are understandable as it is over 60 years old. However, in the remastered version of 2006, the planets and the ship look good. Quite acceptable, in fact. Where are you, anyway?? I am at "The Menagerie, Part 2".
Also, i rewatched the movie yesterday and, caught hundereds of references in it now, For example, "Nurse Chapel, i need 200 cc's of cortisone." And recognized one in STID. "The Mudd incident."
