The Ultimate Fate of the Black Organization
People kind of a general idea on how the manga will end: Conan will become Shinichi and get together with Ran. There's no arguing that. But a thought occurred to me today: what will happen to the BO?
The general consensus is that it will be dissolved in some way. However, how will it go? If you think about it, it's a pretty large-scale operation. Entire families are involved, it seems to have various divisions (science, espionage, etc.), is hinted to be involved in politics, and it even operates on two continents. Additionally, it has enough members and associates for Conan to encounter them on a fairly regular basis (before you point out that years can pass without any plot, in-story all of this is supposed to happen within the span of a few months or so) and lead us to speculate that any character we see is part of the Organization. Along with all that, there's speculation that it's been around for many years.
All in all, it's ridiculously big. Shutting it down would be no small feat, and almost seems impossible. It won't just quietly just stop operations with the leader's arrest or death, and members won't give in to arrest easily. Many members have killed themselves or each other to avoid information being leaked, so I wouldn't be surprised if half of them committed suicide. However, this is a shonen manga, so I think Gosho will avoid excessive bloodshed. As such, how will he go about it? Will he kill off members like Gin and Vodka, or have them arrested? What will happen to Anokata? Will he/she be arrested? And then there's the strangely popular "gentleman" Bourbon, who is ever so polite and nice. Given his popularity here, I'm guessing he's reasonably popular over there as well, so that will be a tricky one for him to carry out...
Personally, I can see Gin killing himself to avoid arrest. I can also see Vermouth with a similar fate, though perhaps she'd sacrifice herself for Conan and Ran's sakes rather than avoiding arrest. Chianti, though, I CAN see being arrested; she seems kind of like the kind who wouldn't sacrifice herself for the Organization. As for Anokata, I have no idea. We have yet to see him/her, so we can't be sure until he/she appears. What do you guys think?

i feel if the boss and main members are dead/captured, they will go underground, and they will be shinichi's nemesis and his lifelong foes, with his work objective is to predict and stop their next movements. without nemesis, life will be very boring for shinichi.

Well, this shonen manga show many corpse; I won't be surprised if I see another corpse of Gin and Vodka together. I agree it will be tricky to bring end down because it goes for all ages, so I think this manga will show less blood when war happens. Gosho need to bring ratings up if drawing war but it's too late. :S
I'm pretty sure of is there will be no war. If there's climax, it only bring in reason to close it like accident happens then real story begins, knowing Gosho he might bring murder case of important person (may not be main characters but it's important person) to arc to end of it. Just a spectucalation; not spoiler.

After the fall of the BO at large, the surviving member will turn to true evil and start a cult, leeching followers for thousands in "donations" and costs for "required holy texts"

Gin will die (by Akai), others will be arrested (Chianti, Korn), Vermouth will get away or be revealed to be a deep undercover of some sort and thus be absolved in some form, the boss and associates will be arrested, and Shinichi will keep his involvement secret, letting the FBI and Tokyo police take credit.

I like the idea that at the end, an injured Gin grabs...some character hostage in one hopeless attempt to not be arrested but Vodka knocks him out and telling him its over. I'm not entirely sure wby, likely because Vodka is wonderful.

Re: The Ultimate Fate of the Black Organization
But wait, I thought that Gin was Shinichi from the future, who came back to the present time to guide him down the right path of becoming BO leader....
Why do detectives use handkerchiefs while opening doors?
Well, they don't...

OMG Jd and I share the same brain.Jd- wrote:Gin will die (by Akai), others will be arrested (Chianti, Korn), Vermouth will get away or be revealed to be a deep undercover of some sort and thus be absolved in some form, the boss and associates will be arrested, and Shinichi will keep his involvement secret, letting the FBI and Tokyo police take credit.
Though I believe that there's a chance Gin might finish himself off if he's cornered by a bunch of cops and not Akai alone. Vermouth will either get away/ run away or be killed by Gin/ boss.

It will not happen but ...
how about the BO working on a "weapon of mass Destruction" but it goes off at HQ when a lowly tech makes a mistake because of being Dyslexia, and transposes the disarm and arm switch. Then Gin comes and put a bullet in it to prove it will not go off unless armed

Re: The Ultimate Fate of the Black Organization
That's a nice ending. Gin dying by Akai's hands should be an epic moment, I think Gin will damage Akai severely before dying though. But what about Bourbon? I don't think he's gonna die nor get arrested but will get away from BO like Vermouth, since he won't get to kill Akai which was his only main goal.Jd- wrote:Gin will die (by Akai), others will be arrested (Chianti, Korn), Vermouth will get away or be revealed to be a deep undercover of some sort and thus be absolved in some form, the boss and associates will be arrested, and Shinichi will keep his involvement secret, letting the FBI and Tokyo police take credit.

I can see Chianti dying way before the very climax to the BO's demise. Other than that, I agree with everything Jd- said.
