I kind of prefer the ones that are more focused on the trick anyway, I think I have more fun figuring out how they did it than who did it sometimes, especially since the ones that tell you who did it tend to have better tricks. Not really getting that kind of vibe from this one thoughIncomplete-tantei wrote:I thought about that too but I don't think it's the case. Maybe the son and his father formed some kind of alliance to kill Chiyoko. That woman was rude enough that I wouldn't be surprised if they both hated her so much. The father's bruise is real, right? The maid says so. Plus, they both thought it was their phone ringing when they heard something's buzzing... though I dunno what the connection is.
I can't understand one thing... why is 'cold back' has anything to do with not wearing kimonos?
I'm a new member btw. Yoroshiku

What made Yumi calling her ex-boyfriend "Chuukichi" instead of Shuukichi, maybe Chuukichi is his real name, Shuukichi is his stage name.
File 848 last page, Shuukichi look like Sera smirking on Conan's deduction in File 779 last page.

Why did the son assume it was suicide? I'd say that makes him the culprit, but since we're in the 800s, I don't think it's likely to be quite that simple. There's also a matter of evidence, which I'm sure has something to do with switching phone cases.

He assumed it was a suicide because it looks like it. Well it was the point of the murder. xD

@Incomplete-tantei, guessing whodunit in DC is still an, well, incomplete deduction. The cake is in the howdunit.
@Conan 48:69, Chuu-kichi is a common nickname for a mouse in Japan, like Rover for a dog and Felix for a cat here. Shuukichi's face and eyes sort of resembles a mouse.
@Ryuu, not a cold back, but a cold, back when she was seven. She had to stay in bed and couldn't get up and celebrate her 7th birthday in a kimono.
The Japanese people typically wear furisode when they reach ages 3, 5, 7, and 20, so when the wife skipped 7, she had no business with furisode until 20.

I'm just here to say how much I enjoy Shuukichi's design? Something about it just really appears to me. ...Also, I keep seeing hints of Shuichi Akai and Subaru Okiya in it. Seriously: high collar, glasses, and when his eyes are closed... Lots of Akaiya visible. What do you guys think?

Re: *SPOILER FREE* Discussion Thread: Detective Conan Files
Here's my two cents:
The slam sound of the door that could conveniently be attributed to the bedroom door was most likely used to disguise the time of the hanging and maybe to draw attention to the door. The smartphone that lay close to the door had the door slam prerecorded and set as ringtone. The husband called the iPhone on the floor just as they came back to achieve the desired effect. In order to avoid leaving evidence he then switched the phone's cases when he took it for "safekeeping" so that the "wife's" phone would show nothing suspicious. (That explains the no "calls or messages" that Megure mentioned)
The note: The suicide note is propably two years old. back then, the son was still in college and had an exam and the sisters daughter was about to turn five, so that part also applies. If the note actually is two years old, than the maid would be off the hook.
Lastly: Yuki's Ex. What freaks me out about him, is that he has the eyes of Eisuke/Hidemi Hondou and until now these resemblances have always been signs of a relation between to characters (Eisuke/Hidemi and Sera/Shuichi)
Did I miss something?

Pretty much exactly my thoughts , especially the eyes.Atraos wrote: Here's my two cents:

(except the note, that might make sense...)
Maybe Shuukichi is the boss and Kir's brother, and just keeps her in the org because he likes to order her around? XD

Heh, I just noticed that Neako's eyes also look similar to the Hondous'.
But then again, I doubt she has any relevance to the story other than being Chiba's love interest.

Hm, it seems the closing bedroom door might just have been caused by air pressure (thus the open window). I wonder what the cell phone was for in that case.

Next time can Ayumi get autograph from Taiko Meijin for her mom if she met him again. Did Yumi go back to Shuukichi's dating again is more difficult than reconciliation of Kogorou and Eri.
Will Meijin's reappearance could feature in Ran and Sonoko/Kogorou case, then see if Sonoko considered Shuukichi is a hottie.

I thought he was Akai, because of the name (Shuukichi ressembles Shuichi) and the appearence. The eyes also made me think of the Honous... And when he didn't want to say where he was I suspected more, but I guess I was wrong
Spoiler: Awesome drawing by sonotacular sonoci

Well he couldn't be Akai. Akai said he wasn't the type of guy who loves two women. That would be deceiving Akemi!
Anyayway, Shuukichi sure is a cool guy, shogi pro player. *_*
