Kudo Shinchi wrote: I don't know if this was ever answered but, in Volume 45, chapter 458 Conan wonders to himself why Vermouth didn't immediately find Haibara out when she disguised as Dr. Araide and began working at Teitan Elementary. Since Vermouth figured out that Sherry had shrunk into a child, all she had to do once she began working at Teitan Elementary was to ask about any recent transfer students and she would have tracked down Haibara immediately, so Conan wonders to himself why didn't she notice Haibara right away?

The Viz translation of Conan's thoughts were this: "Come to think of it, the fake Dr. Araide worked at Teitan Elementary too...  if she [Vermouth] suspected that Anita (actually Haibara, Viz changed a few names) had turned into a kid like me, why didn't she notice her at Teitan Elementary? A new transfer student would've been a huge red flag, so why didn't she know?"

Did we ever get an answer to this?
I think Vermouth chose Araide as a disguise target to get close to Haibara (and Ran and Conan), meaning Vermouth already knew Shiho was at Teitan Elementary when she targeted Araide. However, Vermouth didn't attack Haibara immediately because she wanted to separate Shiho from Shinichi and make sure the FBI was neutralized to avoid complications with her plans. That meant taking some time to find out where the FBI lived, coming up with a way to ditch Jodie, and getting a better feel for Haibara's relationship with the others so she can figure put how to separate them.
Conan interpreted the lack of Vermouth doing anything (that he knows about) as Vermouth not knowing about Haibara yet when she disguised as Araide, but I think that is an incorrect deduction given what we know about Vermouth and her plans. I'm pretty sure she knew at the party who the two children were when she saw them, which explains her uneasiness and sudden change of plans to stay in Japan. She joined the school when she found them, using her disguise to get close and learn about them.

This explanation resolves all the contradictions, although it requires Conan to be partially wrong about a deduction. (Kind of a red flag...) As far as we know, there is no particularly good reason for Vermouth to work at Teitan other than to target Haibara and Conan. If she was looking for Shinichi and Ran, she could have subbed for a day or just stole some records. (Or the boss is in class 1-A and he was bored.)

Technically, I believe the specific answer to that question was resolved some time ago in the manga (iirc). The anime didn't get to that point yet, though.

That's what I find weird though. Conan had all the information he needed at that point to answer his own question. Why did he even ask it in the first place?
He knew that Vermouth had some reason for wanting to separate Conan from Haibara (part of it being gratitude for NYC). Conan could also deduce that Vermouth must not have intended to simply drag him or Haibara before rest of the BO because she would have acted already or called in many friends. Conan should be able to figure out that Vermouth joined Teitan as Araide after she saw the children at the wake (but they didn't notice her looking), but she didn't act right away because she was spying on them and the FBI in preparation for her plan to kill Haibara in secret. (Vermouth nearly says as much at the shipping yard showdown) The question Conan should have been asking in V45 is "Why didn't Vermouth act sooner or ask for a lot more help? Is there something she is trying to hide from her coworkers?"
That question is bumped again in the manga and will be soon in the anime.

I checked anime version of the case just in case Viz changed the translation completely (I noticed they did it before) but it was essentially the same. It's weird, because Conan acts like its a mystery he doesn't know the answer to yet, and Gosho wouldn't bring it up without being a reason for doing so.

Chekhov's answer makes sense, but I find it strange Conan wouldn't know the answer to a question he himself is asking that he should know, unless Gosho intended the question as some sort of hint for the future.

Yes, but not necessarily all of them. She knew about the tracking glasses and detective badges in Chaps 798-800. I don't know about the stun gun wristwatch or the voice changing bowtie.

Excuse me,  this is not something relevant but what style of karate Ran uses?  Me  and my friend are arguing about it, I said it's kyokushin but she insists that it's shotokan because of rounding heel kick- she said its a shotokan move, but rounding heel kick is something that she learned from her karate -sempai, Kazumi(?) So for me, its possible that kazumi is the one who uses shotokan..:/

Spoiler:
Do you think Amuro Tooru is serious when get into the Black Organization , because It is clear from Wataru Date that he is in fact worked in police headquarters sometime around .
Even his way of dressing is more casual as being a member in a high organization that is fond of black and black.
Also, he may interfere accidentally in a case that the Org involved in or at least someway connected to it . As Shinichi when Encountered for the first time AT Roller Coaster Episode. Therefore , Amuro tries to investigate about that incident where he seemed to be concered and loved his work at headquarters and cut the line from his colleagues for a bit to get as much information as possible and obey and do something like insepcting akai death , which he will gain high trust from colleagues who is working with in the org.

I don't understand the Desperate Revival Arc at all. If Shinichi wanted to not attract attention, why on earth did he turn back into Shinichi in the middle of an entire school. Instead, why didn't he just tell Ran about Conan's true identity, so that Shinichi doesn't have to show himself in front of so many people, and attract attention?
The logical way (or should have been IMO) should've been like this:

1. Ran's suspicious
2. Conan gets hospitalised
3. Conan confirms Ran's suspicions
4. Ran reacts: Drama Queen Moment
5. ???
6. Profit!!!

It's much easier to keep a person's mouth shut than a whole school's mouths right?

It's unfortunate that this is one of the most-spoiled portions of the series, due to its in-series iconic reputation and all of the subsequent callbacks to it (including in two different movies).

To answer your question, though: "Drama". That's the only reason Gosho ever needs to do what Gosho does.

Well, first off this was before cell phones were widespread, so it's not quite the same as it would be from around 2003 on. That said, it still doesn't make much sense, given the odds that someone would have a camera or blab about it. I've always viewed it as showing that Shinichi is more concerned with keeping his identity secret than staying safe from the BO, which provides him with an actual major character flaw, even if that might not be what Gosho intended.

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

I have a few questions regarding a few stuff:

Movie 2: What happened to the bodies after the place exploded? The woman's body suddenly disappeared when Conan went down to get Ran, and the man's body was never explained. It was just 'seen' lol. I'm sure that no one was holding her body when the water flowed in. So what happened? Should she be floating in water too?

Furinkazan: Towards the end, is the old man the only man left in the Takeda Family? Uehara left and his wife was the murderer. The rest of his family got murdered by his wife. Isn't that a bit brutal to the poor guy?
