To be fair with Haibara and her tingling BO sensing, she is releaved from a lot of stress, thanks to Conan and co. It began after the Halloween party case and slowly disappeared. If we think about teh train case, she was basicly confirmed dead by actual BO members (or as Conan told her). She can feel at more ease.
But despite this I too miss her sharp sense, I mean, Vermouth IS Vermouth after all. I can't believe her Vermouth sense is totally gone. :( Not after how she acted in Vermouth's first appearance and in the Bus Jack case. I can accept that she can't sense anything from Bourbon, since he is a grey character, rather than black, though.

Anyways, I think this was a very good case overall. The murder-thing was okay, an old trick, but the weapon was interesting. I mean the fact how it was put together. I really felt sorry for the murderer. :( That mean pickpocket! >.> But to be fair, one should never lock a child in a car alone.

I wonder what's Amuro's plan now. The best trap for Conan would be the good old Ran-hostage thing. If anything, then manipulating Ran or Kogoro would be a piece of cake for Amuro, the rest is up to him.

Too busy raging at Jodie, so I forgot about this. Gosho likely intended to surprise everyone by revealing a suspect was Bourbon working with Vermouth, so Haibara's radar conveniently malfunctioned.
...which wasn't much of a surprise anyhow, considering the rampancy of "He's lying about what happened at the bank heist, so he must be Bourbon!" over in the spoiler cbox back when only 850 was out. :-X
I, uh, totally came up with a proper argument for it other than that? :x *hides*

I did, too. "They were in marital dispute", "they met because of the bank heist"... those kind of things. :P

While she was never Conan or Akai level, Gosho basically made her into an idiot to force the plot forward in an extremely awkward way. Jodie was never this bad in the Vermouth or Kir arc. I'm not impressed with the plot right now. Just had to get that off my chest.
I prefer to take it the opposite way: if he's rushing the plot by forcing stupidity on her, he might be going somewhere with it soon.  :-X

Conan really might as well just confess to Ran at this point. Now she's more in danger because of Conan being Conan than Conan being Shinichi >_>

I didn't think Jodie was that bad in this case, except when she gave Bourbon her phone number. That was reckless behavior for an FBI agent who's proven in the past to be very competent. And why didn't Haibara sense Vermouth? She's never failed to sense her in the past, as far as I know. No, wait, wasn't there that time in episode 425 where she was in the same parking lot as Vermouth at that park where they were going to assassinate that politician and she didn't sense her? *shrug*

I'm excited for what happens next. I certainly wasn't expecting this to be a mini-BO case, hopefully Gosho will accelerate the plot right away in the next file without stopping for a non-plot related case.

Also, I share the sentiment that this arc needs to end soon. It's been especially awesome since Sera's introduction, but it really has been going for far too long. I'm ready for something new.

I wonder what he would do if he knew all about what just happened there.

That's one of the problems with writing such a long series - you create the characters for some purpose, but after they have achieved their purpose in the story, it's harder to incorporate them into future arcs in a convincing way. Another problem is that Gosho keeps inserting different factions into the plot.

Which is why Gosho should wrap up this arc and be done with it, and hopefully get some of the past plot elements (FBI and maybe Kir) out of the picture for the time being (how about a large incident that reveals the FBI's activity and they are forced to leave? All but Akai leave Japan and the neverending status quo can continue as usual).

As to that... could she not have just asked her child to unlock the door from the inside and used some other mode of transportation?  Or was the child too young for that?

Jodie, however, has no excuses for her weirdness.  As an FBI agent, she should know better than to spout off things to random strangers, no matter if she's supposed to know them or not - if she doesn't know the person, she shouldn't be talking about FBI-related matters with them.

I know there could be child-proof locks on the car door. Although I agree with Misztina about the child in a car thing. But she could've just called the cops to help her open up the car anyways. No cop would refuse you if you're trying to get a child in distress out of a car.

Could Bourbon have seen Conan with the bowtie? If he did, that will have probably confirmed the Sleeping Kogoro thing.
One more, does he realise now that Professor Agasa is who he is? :x

One question... is okiya really akai..?? Like it seems so as per Conan's reactions and many things are there that point towards it, but Gosho has always came up with something unexpected.

In the last arc, Bourbon was able to get hold of some precious information, what do you think it was??
When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

And Ofc. There is always only one truth!

Nobody was slightly annoyed by the fact Bourbon was capable of disguising himself just as well as Vermouth (that includes changing his voice) ?

The disguise is most likely done by Vermouth, although I am unsure about the voice changing part. Scar Akai never spoke so I assumed Bourbon can't do voice changing, maybe he just can't do Akai's voice?

It's not easy to just change your voice like that without it being a bit noticeable and thus suspicious. I'm sure Conan would have noticed something was odd.
