Today's Bad Stories !

A woman asked me for gas money as I was filling up, and I was out of walmart gift cards, which is what I generally give people who ask me for food or gas money or whatever, so I went into the shop to find something similar. Turns out she'd called a man over to hide on the other side of my car and presumably take me by surprise while I was busy with the woman. The only reason I didn't get robbed or whatever was because two other people in the shop had seen the couple hanging around and followed me out to my car without my knowledge, and ran up and threatened to call the police before the man could say anything to me.

I guess I'm bummed because I wasn't even thinking about something like that. It was broad daylight, so I wasn't particularly on my guard, and I've been approached like that lots of times. I know intellectually that it can be shady to talk to people asking for money, but I always figured it was my decision either way, and I decided a long time ago that anyone who asked me for food money could have it whether they had a believable story or not. It's never put me in danger before, so now not only do I feel stupid for not realizing that could happen and being more careful, but those people who had to intervene because I was gullible might have been hurt if the couple had been armed or whatever.

It's been weighing on me all day.

This must be so scary. The kind of thing that makes you realize that bad things can happen to you .

*hugs pofa* That's so awful, taking advantage of people who are genuinely up for helping people in need. That's low and absolutely horrible.

^^It's horrible when people take advantage of those who help others, it makes people think twice before giving help and those who genuinely need help don't get it

I agree completely. Where I come from majority of people asking for help are scanners so I'm never the one who would help someone like that even now when I'm in a totally different place.

Note to self: Don't call mom in the future just because you haven't talked in awhile (we've talked but not just about what we've been up to and such, it's been about child support :x)
Now I've gotten invited to her boyfriend (where she's currently staying at his place while having a try out period on some workplace so she can move there permanently) I don't mind meeting mom but I'm not really that interested in meeting her boyfriend :x (I've met him once and all we did was introduce ourselves) so simply tried to turn the invitation down since he has children (7 and 14 years old) which I hoped mom would understand since I dislike children, but apparently the younger one is going to be at his mother's place and only the older is home so I might have to go next weekend T__T
So I'm going to die next weekend, I dislike children and I don't really like to meet strangers and absolutely not stay at their house for a whole weekend  :x
Why is the shooting competition tomorrow and not next Saturday? D:

Would you look at that, I got saved for the time being, mom remembered that she already have plans next weekend since she's going home to get her car and probably say hi to grandma
So it's been postponed until the next time his youngest son is away \o/

Funny how you never are satisfied. If mom doesn't want to spend time with you that is bad, if she wants to spend time with you that is bad too.

Older sisters are sometimes 

I was home after an exhausting orchestra rehearsal. My sister had my DS, which had (her) Pokemon Black in it. I had been training a bit of hers so I explained to her what I did. Then she asked if one of the party can Fly. I replied that if she wants to Fly, she should just withdraw one that can Fly, but she insisted one in her party. Then she tried to teach one of the party Fly, and deleted the most useful move. I got a little angry because that move really was a good one, but all she said to me was "This is mine, so shut up".

It's a really small matter, but I usually don't like people telling me to 'shut up' in the most nasty way, and I was especially tired, so I guess I got a little cranky..

Anyway, I've left the stove in the kitchen for more than an hour. The food was complete charcoal.

I wish buses weren't so bloody scarce on Sundays. I was getting my shoes on, assuming that the bus was going to be in ten minutes' time like it was on Saturdays, only to look up out of the window and see my bus go sailing by. I got the the bus stop and found that the next bus wasn't for fifty minutes. I had to hurry all the way up the Royal Mile, which if you don't know is really kinda steep, especially at the very top and bottom. I got to work red-faced and exhausted >_>

My home STILL reeks of anise, from the cookies baked Friday night/Saturday morning. I am finally starting to actually reclaim the kitchen, as the dishwasher is running. However, I still have to hand-wash the bowl (too big to fit in the dishwasher), make more frosting, frost all the cookies that we still have here, and pack them up. I also need to clean the spilled flour off the stove and wash my counters. Oh, and write the post for Dragons' Bakery. I'm really getting sick of anise.

Today my little sister came home from school, pretty upset. She's in Year 8, and she wanted to apply for an ensemble workshop. She went to the conductor to get the form signed, but then the conductor asked her if she is in the school orchestra. She replied no, of course, because the school one was too expensive, and the conductor told her 'sorry, you can't' and started ripping the form into pieces and threw it in the bin. Apparently the conductor claimed if she didn't help the school, the school has no reason to support her.

The application didn't need any requirement to be in the school ensemble. They needed the school details so they could give every student a fair go.
First, I know the school orchestra is hellishly expensive, a few hundreds per term, because I used to go to that school as well. Also, they sound absolutely horrible. But I really couldn't believe a conductor could be providing such a ridiculous 'support' to those not paying. If they truly love music, they should be encouraging and supporting no matter what.

After such a rotten day, my sister was shouted at from our mother, just because she was in a cranky mood. I heard her mutter 'I've had enough of adults'.

That is horrendous and that conductor needs to be reported. I being in orchestra is not required, he has no reason not to support her. Report him to the headmaster or whatever, because that is bollocks.

And this makes the fourth night in a row where I've gotten 5 or less hours of sleep in a night for no apparent reason other than being unable to fall asleep. Not like I can afford to skip class, either.

A friend just emailed me. About something i really was not expecting.
She's leaving. She's going back to Japan.
She's leaving in a month. I'm so sad. I can't believe she's leaving. She's like one of very few people I managed to befriend here.
She just got back from her vacation to Japan, I guess she realized she misses her home too much.
I miss home too. Sometimes i feel like giving up on living here, and just go back.
She's strong, she's leaving her husband here. They must be so sad, both of them.
I guess all i can do now, is try spending some time with them, while she's here, and taking care of her hubby (they are both my best friends here in france), she's worried about him, and asked me to spend time with him when she's gone.
I'll miss her .
