This just shows how strong Doflamingo is. Aokiji appearing was unexpected indeed but it was an epic entrance.

I figured the guy in the ocean was Aokiji (since he's basically the only person we've seen in the series who would just be chilling [har har] in the middle of the ocean) so his appearance wasn't really all that surprising, but I do hope Smoker actually manages to fend for himself at some point. It seems like a lot of the time his role is delegated to "Badass looking guy who gets beat down to show how much of a badass other guys are" now that Haki's around and his logia isn't all that useful as long as it is, compared to other logias.

I figured the guy in the ocean was Aokiji (since he's basically the only person we've seen in the series who would just be chilling [har har] in the middle of the ocean) so his appearance wasn't really all that surprising, but I do hope Smoker actually manages to fend for himself at some point. I never really thought that Smoker was strong ever since he was introduced. Unless he shows a new technique that can counter those with haki, he'll stay weak inside my head

nah, the guy they were talking about was probably doflamingo, since I think they mentioned he was walking in the sky as well.

I'm referrin to a few chapters back, the chapter ended with a silhouette of someone in the middle of the ocean (I'd pull up the page, but I'm at work :I), who'd just woken up and then said "ah, now which way was punk hazard?". Aokiji's really the only person who would be sleeping in the middle of the ocean that we knew of, unless it turned out to be a new character.
