I wonder if Akai made some arrangements with Conan before he died. Presumably, for certain people who will search for him.

or, the other way around..
(Akai made arrangements with a certain person to protect Conan if he's gone)

That, to me would explain the proctective nature of Sera towards Conan, if that was the case. However, I'm wary of that thought since Akai would not let his sister get involved. So back to zero. Ok guyz, continue.

two words that draw me in this chapter, 'OUR TERRITORY' This is our territory, by Sera. Sounds nostalgic with Okiya's 'Beyond here is my area... and not your territory'. hmmm, curious

I think Sera, Ran and Shinichi might have met when they were children, that's why they don't remember her.

Maybe Sera learned that expression from her brother? It may just be Gosho reminding Akai=Okiya=Sera's brother.

I don't know if it's a common japanese expression but yeah, you're right. In that case, it might be a clue to what Okiya has with his neck or not when Haibara tried to reach for it, as oppose to Sera telling Ran their job as detective.

I am trying to work out why this " have met before " is brought up now, I mean Sera, Conan and Ran had many interactions and cases together before, why now, suddenly both of them think that she is familiar?

Also, please excuse my naiivity as I thought that she reminds of them of someone or met before means that she reminds them of her brother

It may seem a little far-fetched but what if Ran and Shinichi actually met Sera/Akai's mother? XD (when they were children eventually..)

I mean it could have been from that moment they first met... Remember when Sera talked about her mother? She told Ran in a manner as if she had met her. When it can be a red herring from Gosho, it's not that impossible on another side.

It looks like it's not only because Sera looks like Akai that they think they have met before.. it's really because Conan really thinks he has met Sera before.

Little fangs are almost trademark features of characters with a taste for adventure and mischief. Personally, I've seen it too many times to count. It's really common, so it's not exactly a detail you'd expect to play a bit of a role in an actual plotline. I'm more curious about why Conan only noticed it now.
