That thing is SO CREEPY... I don't really like fish much after the goldfish that I had when I was seven jumped out of her bowl and I accidentally stepped on her... fish creep me out now. Not to the screaming and fleeing extent of Kaito, but I don't like them. I'd rather tempt him with chocolate... so long as I don't eat it first...

Agreed. I mean, it's just a matter of opinion. It was a shock to me that Pretzailfan95 doesn't like Kaito, but it's just her own point of view.

I must've voted ages ago.... for Kaito.

Partially because I read the MK manga before I'd finished reading Detective Conan, but also because I've got a long standing history of fondness for thief characters in fiction. Kaito's no exception.

He's smart, he knows about as many things as Shinichi but not the same things, he has Poker Face, and there's mop chases. And pranks. Gotta love the pranks. I really just think of him as Shinichi if he'd grown up in a different sort of way with other people around him, and sometimes treat them both accordingly. Like twins, but not.

Doesn't mean I can't sometimes find him an irritating idiot, though. But that makes him more human as a character. And with the tazer thing... I really didn't like it (thought it was someone else at first) but in the conclusion figured it must've been because anything else might not've been thought serious enough to take Conan away on his own. And remembering that since he'd planned it out, it could've been modified. Fan speculation there, though.
