Sims 2 was hilarious in many ways, my sims always wanted to do it, one of them like 13 times in a row. They were insane... I do miss their craziness in sims 3

Re: The Sims
I like Sims 2 a lot, although I've modded the crap out of mine so it sometimes crashes if you pick the wrong selection of custom careers.
There's not really that much to discuss about it, really, aside from hands up anyone who HASN'T removed a pool ladder and watched their sim drown?
Yeah, nobody.

I placed it in the downloads folder which is in the Sims 3 folder which is in the Electronic arts folder, I just checked and there is no folder with the description you give. I have a folder named EA but in that one I have the Sims 2 folders.sstimson wrote:are you putting it in the EA folder? Re: The Sims
oh, a sims thread!!! *overjoyed*

uuhm, so, I've been sims fan ever since the release of sims 1 ... there are periods of time, when I don't really feel like playing it, but all in all ... I have all the sims 1 expansions, all sims 2 expansions and for sims 3 I have the original game, world adventures and seasons. x)
I used to be a huge sims 2 fan, but now that sims 3 came ... took time to get used to, but I like it a looot. and (of course) seasons compared to sims 2 are so much more realistic!
waiting for university life now ... and island paradise ... thinking about buying supernatural eventually ...
soo ... let's chat?

Re: The Sims
sims 3 seasons is fantaaastic!!! ^^ all the weather effects just seem soo real, I was instantly impressed. and most of the time the game doesn't give me any performance problems whatsoever, even though my pc configuration isn't exactly the newest. i mean, the snow/rain falling is fluent, trees in wind behave normally, game play is cool, only sometimes it's like the whole house that i'm playing at the moment becomes like ... white ... and then it takes few minutes for everyhting (furniture, etc) to get its' texture back, but I've gotten used to it, now it doesn't bother me so much.Kaito Lady wrote:I've the sims 3 seasons' trailer, it looks awesome~Rea wrote: oh, a sims thread!!! *overjoyed*![]()

oooh, sims 3 pets!! let me know how it is, I love to hear first-hand gaming impressions!

oh, sims 2 is of course fantastic, no doubt here. i love it in aspect of building up family trees and long long stories and such. :3 it's awesome!!! but I can't say that I miss massive loading times all that much. and I've had to say bye to my Sims 2 for now. ;~~; I mean pc-installed-wise. Since yep, my pc configuration isn't the newest and it gave me problems (had every single expansion pack/mini pack) installed ... and so for now, it's only Sims 3 + seasons + world adventures, but I miss sims 2. .__.
ooh, custom content! of that I have/had plenty for sims 2

can hardly believe that sims 3 university is coming so soon! in the middle of my exam period too. actually, so many of my fave things are getting released / happening in probably my hardest exam period up to now. it's sad.

what's going on in your sims 3 game right now? ^^ I haven't played it for weeks (exam period .__.), but right now ... one of my female Sims is exploring Egypt and pursuing her career in music, I think? Other than that, nothing too interesting. XD though in itself I find seasons and world adventures extremly interesting expansions!

oooh, sims 3 pets!! let me know how it is, I love to hear first-hand gaming impressions!i mean, i've watched the trailer and some gameplay, of course, but it's only a tiny bit of possibilities presented there. ;~~; oh, did you watch the one seasons trailer with "possibilites for other expansion packs"? the one with winter-ish pets neighbourhood (can't remember the name) and golden retriever and his owner playing catch in snow? that was just sooo beautiful!! then I was all like "first seasons, then world adventures, then pets XDD"

ooh, custom content! of that I have/had plenty for sims 2especially hair and skin tones, since I've always been quite picky about how the custom clothing looks like. D: but I've found some quite good ones ... and I also have plenty of ... eye make-up, freckles, necklaces, such ... if we talk about buy mode, i was obsessed with bedrooms and kitchens and childrens' bedrooms XD and oh, custom food! XD you know, for open for business, kind-of grocery store or toy store is my fave!

yea, I also have tons of custom stuff in my sims 2

some time ago I did the same thing as I once did in my sims 2, I made a family of 8 siblings and paused the ageing and made them get to the top of all their careers and skills they needed

So far I've only got one package pack, the town life pack, its quite good now my sims can wash their clothes = D

Re: The Sims
yes!!! few days ago there was an official announce! ^__^ here, the trailer~~university pack? you mean there's coming a new pack specaily meant for university?! Shocked I thought that came with the generations pack :O
yea, I also have tons of custom stuff in my sims 2 Cheesy specially victorian and vintage stuff <3
some time ago I did the same thing as I once did in my sims 2, I made a family of 8 siblings and paused the ageing and made them get to the top of all their careers and skills they needed Smiley then I went and build them a Huge new house so that when I get the pets pack there might be space for all the pets :3 so right now I'm just waiting to get pets to continue to play, I was planing to get the Showlife(which is like the copy nightlife of sims 2) because I want this superstar of hollywood lifestyle, I mean it just looks awesome...then I would like to get world adventures
So far I've only got one package pack, the town life pack, its quite good now my sims can wash their clothes = D
http://youtu.be/0w7hU7gAe00
what I love to do at the moment in sims 3, is to create a sim, choose the "super long" life and then make him/her to perfect some/all of the skills, get to the top of some career and then get lots of pay raises and have lots of money ... and then they marry and have kids and so on and so on ... XD
now I really want to have pets ;~~~; but first I need to clean and completely format my pc ... haven't done it for ages, it shows, everything is going slower. .___. since even my dad's pc, which has MUCH worse specifications, than mine does, goes faster. .__. that says something ...
ooh, Showtime! watched the trailer, found it reaally interesting, wanna have it eventually! ^^ I think that Sims 3 Showtime + Nightlife = Sims 2 Nightlife + Sims 1 Superstar ... World Adventures is really really fantastic!!! To be honest, I haven't really explored it much yet, but I'm fascinated by it, for now, the only thing that I'm missing is the possibility of permanently living in one of the three destinations. .___. will share more of my first impressions soon!
Sims can wash their clothes?? Wow, that sounds awesome XDDD I don't have any package packs yet, but all of them seem nice. .___.

Re: The Sims
awww ;~~; *huuug* well, now that I think back on Sims 1, they're a lovely nostalgia and I totally DO install them from time to time, but ... it's a nostalgia. Though, when they first came out, of course they were massive breakthrough and so on ... I can't really see myself playing them regularly, Sims 2 were too much of an upgrade. ;~; Though, back when I was 8 and got my first Sims 1, I was the most impressed with it all, even the graphics and whole design. XDwoa!
*never had any sims 1 expansion*
yea world adventures really looks awesome, it kinda reminds me of the sims 2 castaways, did you also have that one? ^^
yea it is, but it can turn into a true mess if your family is too bigdirty clothes everywhere that pile up and up, and if your sim has his free will set on he Only want to clean all the clothes the whole time....with this package came a new modern looking school, a new modern library, a modern gym, a modern café and a new park. with the pack also came a treehouse
what comes with world adventures? (except the vacation places)
Sims 2 Castaways, that's one of the Sims Stories series, am I right? Don't have any of them, but I heard that they're quite similar to regular Sims, only that you have a story to play through first and then you can do whatever you want? Only that there are no add-ons and there is limited amount of furniture and such ...
yep, I saw some pretty awesome things at the cover of this pack! *.* but didn't treehouse come with Generations too? gah, I already think that Generations + University Life is gonna be a bombastic combination. *.* and oh, seasons will affect university sub-neighbourhood (hope there will be more

world adventures ... from what I've discovered up to now ... there are new skills. ^^ photography, martial arts, nectar making. you get those vitrines for presenting your souvenirs ... there are new recipes that you only can get at vacation destinations ... about the travels, at first you can only stay for 3 days and by sucessfully mastering adventures that you take on there, you raise your visa level and then eventually you can stay at destination for 15 days and even buy your own vacation home. though I'm far from this yet. XD
it's just soo much new stuff, what in particular are you interested in? ^^ too much to tell it all at once.

i'm properly obsessed with winter in sims 3 seasons, the snow falling just seems SO REAL.

yea it had a story with it

it was fun, specially because of the pet chimp that you could have, I once bought this monkey tree that attracted monkeys but because your house doesn't have a door they came in and some of them weren't....so nice and tried to attack my sim :x
after that I sold the tree and they didn't come back

yea so it seems, yup, generations looks awesome!
yea, I've heard about the new skill and so on.
did you get any new rapid holes that you can place in your neighborhood?
