This is the inaugural faceoff of the 2013 DC Movies Contest! This time, we have the two most recent movies going at it, vote for your favorite of the two above.
"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."
Definitely Quarter of Silence. Not one of my favorite, but it had plenty of good points (great scenery) and some genuinely heart-wrenching moments. Eleventh Striker was a confused jumble of junk that got worse as it went on (well, it got better briefly, but then got much worse).
oh and of course posting of opinions/reasons for voting are encouraged!

Good scenery, some emotional and funny moments but a rather average case. Still, 16 had an even worse case with a lame ending (where as 15's was at least decent) and poor pacing as well.

"I wonder if there really is a God...
If such an entity really existed, wouldn't all honest, hard-working people be happy?"
15, mostly because I liked what happened it it more (boy in coma wakes up, seems to be targeted, bombs not being the main focus til the end , and the avalanche scene). And partly because I'm not the biggest fan of sports, so a movie focused around soccer doesn't appeal to me as much. :V

15... mainly because I don't really have any idea what happened in 16. Some things exploded and then the totally suspicious guy turned out to actually be the murderer, which is a plot twist in DCland.
Also, 15 had some gorgeous scenery and the coma kid's subplot was properly heartwrenching.
I forgot to add a timer to the poll like a true genius, but given the large margin of victory I don't have any qualms about declaring this faceoff over. "Quarter of Silence" advances to the next round!
