I don't really get this answer.... You can describe what the answer's supposed to be like in words you know...

Never really thought of c-square's answer... actually makes sense, but not the right one!
Actually
Spoiler:
I've simply drawn a square with two lines. It's just a play with words.
If  ;), :D, ;D, ::), :P, :-X, :o or >:D are attached, that paragraph may not be 100% serious. Seriously.

I don't get it.  The puzzle was to:
Draw a square with two lines (EXACTLY 2 lines!!)
I'd understand how it'd be a play on words if it didn't say "exactly".  However, there are many more than exactly two lines in Callid's answer.

My cryptoanalytic program can't do it.
However, this may be because the text is simply too short (that's also the reason I can't solve it myself) and we don't know the method. A analyse of frequencies will not work with such a short text (that's the reason I provided a whole page^^). If you post another - let's say - 100 letters, I will think about it again^^

OK, you get a cookie (*gives cookie*) - but for abusing being unable to spell this important sentence, I demand one from YOU - as solatium!

BTW, how many hints did you need? And you, Mouri Rann? It's just because I want to know if you solve those codes without many before I post more difficult ones^^

I don't get the 3rd question.  Whats is 'a la'?
I don't get the second question's answer! What is:
Spoiler:
1|1 to 3|3
?
I didn't need any clues, it was just too easy. (as I'm Japanese)

I think I know it without doing any cryptanalytic work^^
Just after the fourth hint. I'll try to prove it and find the Japanese text, but without Japanese knowledge, it's not possible...
Spoiler:
However, I'd like you to give me the original Japanese phrase Conan says to Ran at the very end of the movie; the famous "confession" ("Because I love you etc.")
MouriRann wrote: I don't get the 3rd question.  Whats is 'a la'?

I didn't need any clues, it was just too easy. (as I'm Japanese)
5 rows with 4 dots per row/ a length of 4 dots (so, if you wrote them all separately, you'd need 20 dots).

Think of it like in a mathematical Cartesian coordinate system. (1|1) is one unit to the right and one up from (0|0), (3|3) is three to the right and three up, and (1|3) is one to the right and three up. I simply used it because I don't need any graphic this way^^
Spoiler:
Now connect the points if given you in order with straight lines.
Well, in this case try the second one of my new ones (viewtopic.php?p=73208#p73208).
