Started getting a cold on Sunday and today it finally hit the stopped up nose phase.

Just in time for Chem lab, where we were making esters.

The whole lab was based on being able to smell the chemicals, and I couldn't get anything... I just know I'm gonna fail that one...

Not this time. Since it wasn't a difficult lab, the teacher told us to work by ourselves.

Corporate visit at work tomorrow = scrambling at 8pm to get everything clean.  We close at 9, so I ended up getting off late.  On the positive side, I got 12 extra minutes of pay.

Seriously I've told dad's girlfriend to take Mozart to the vet for ages! He's had a wound on his right hind leg (he's had it for over a year!) that he's been chewing and licking on, then he slowly started getting worse (he's been having problems getting up on the couch and such which never have been a problem before) and now he's halting around on his leg and can barely get up the stairs or get up from the floor
If she doesn't take him to the vet soon I'll call my oldest sister to take him there even though she isn't really the one who should pay for stuff like this but if she won't no one will

That sucks. You should've searched up what you'd have gotten online before going into the lab.
When I did that lab, I got the worst smells (durian, and a failed combo making acetone). I hope your other labs cover up the marks for this one

I've wanted a cat since a very long time but have put of getting one until I have a stable income and know I will be living in the same place. So I thought now was the perfect time to get two, two because two cats are even better than one and because then they can keep each other company when I am working. So I called the animal shelter and the woman there was at first very happy about me wanting to adopt two cats. But after we had talked for a while she said I worked too much, I was too young and I should think about the cats well-being before my selfish reasons for wanting one. I am sorry, I just love cats and I really want one. And stupidly I thought I could do both the cats and the animal shelter a favour by adopting cats from there instead of getting some adorable kittens. She said she'd call again after the weekend but now I am unsure if I should even get a cat. I do want one but perhaps I am away too much. This entire episode has really made me sad.

I don't really want to say this but I think she's right, kind of :-/
If you want cats you shouldn't adopt those who have had problems, they will need lots of attention and love, just think about how Sammy was at the start, if you'll stay over at places because of work they might not see you enough to get used to you completely since they're scared cats

Then who can get a cat? Unless they are unemployed or have one of the few work at home jobs they aren't home all the time. I might be away a bit more than most people, but the main thing about my job is that I work strange hours, I doubt that cats care about that.

Most people only work 8 hours every day and then come home, you have to stay over sometimes

But I think you deserve getting a cat but as I said (or at least meant) was that getting cats from a shelter might not be the smartest idea, since they might need more attention than other cats at least in the beginning, even though it's a good thought

I think that as long as you can be home at least once a day to feed the cats (2 meals a day for the cats), it should be fine. The cats seems to have their own plans and they move around as they want.

I hope you can talk to them and help them be more understanding.
