I am having doubts about having 3rd party president in USA. I mean both Democratics and Republics are just too powerful in US politics that it hardly has any space for other parties.

I wonder if a spending cap on election campaigns would help any. Not that it's always the most accurate source of information, but today's Metro had some truly obscene figures listed for Romney and Obama's campaign spending.

There are already restrictions on how funding can be raised and such, but it makes little difference, as there are always loopholes.
