I didn't know this. Still, as far as vampires are concerned, will they really bother with blood-type? Then again, I'm talking fantasy here.

Short blood transfusion explanation:
Spoiler:
Basically, as far as blood goes, there are three things to take into account: A antigen, B antigen, and Rh factor. Any person can have any combination of the three, which makes up your blood type. If you don't have A or B, you're listed as O, and if you have Rh factor you're listed as '+' (or '-' if you don't). So someone who's O- has none, someone who's AB+ has all of them. You can receive red blood cells from anyone, as long as their blood doesn't contain anything yours doesn't.

Although, it's important to note that that compatibility only works for transfusions of prepared blood, which has the red blood cells separated from the plasma. Plasma works the opposite way as far as A and B antigens are concerned, so if the blood wasn't separated, only people that shared the same ABO blood type (not counting Rh factor) could transfuse blood.

As far as vampires go, depends on the story you're telling. If you're just drinking it though, I would think the blood type wouldn't matter, but don't quote me on that. :P

Not like I know any real vampires I could ask for a quote anyway... ;)

Thanks for the explanation.

Also, being a devout Christian by celebrating Christmas, I mean, really Gosho? How much more stupid do you want Ran and Kazuha to be? *headdesk*

I thought they were just trying their best to justify why the 'cross' would work, not that they actually believed it X:.

Yep, apparently there are  some people who celebrate Christmas or've been baptised even if they don't actually do anything religious now and put down in the census that they're Christians, pretty much messing up the main way there is to tell about how many people in each religion... then again, with the Jedi thing... *headdesks*

OK, I know that Ran and Kazuha scream when they see bodies and scared of ghosts, but to show them in this stupidity, by doing everything they can to scare the vampire is annoying me :-\. They are more clever than that, are n't they?
Every time I want to give up on DC, it manages to bring me back, it brings me back feelings I know that I will never ever feel or live again.

You aren't the only one who feels that way. I've resigned to the fact that the two of them have been reduced to "save the princess" characters when the plot needs one. Other times, it's surprising how powerful or good fighters they are.

Granted, they are ordinary people and not fearless, but they do act overly childish sometimes. I don't mind women doing in playfully, but these two take the cake.

It's only comic relief, don't take it too seriously.

The fail-justification by celebrating Christmas was actually funny to me (since it was so obviously not meant to be taken seriously), it's the rest of their behaviour that I've foung incredibly annoying (because by now pretty much *anything* they've done in this case cannot be taken seriously, only without being actually funny for the most part...).

Perhaps Gosho wanted it to be funny but they just seemed stupid.

@Stopwatch: I am one of those people. (baptised and only celebrating Christmas)
But as soon as they want money from me I'm going to officially get out. I have to keep it secret form my grandmother tho...

...I'm confused. My point was about those who claim to be Christians if they *only* celebrate Christmas and/or are baptised. D'you mean that you claim to be Christian or something else...? ???
Also, the 'money' thing. If you're talking about what I think you are, the collection's a donation... so you're probably not talking about what I think  you're talking about. Presuming that makes any sense...
(Basically, can you just clarify things for me a bit. I can be a bit slow on the uptake sometimes, sorry.)

I found the guy's face in the window oddly hilarious for some reason.

The way Ran and Kazuha are acting doesn't bother me. Ran's fear of ghosts and other supernatural entities is pretty well-established; she won't fight someone she thinks is a monster. If she knows for sure they're human, she doesn't have as much of a problem. In this case, they have a bit of background information to add to their fears. They looked in a casket and saw his body, and then the body vanished without them even leaving the room. This body belonged to a guy who supposedly exhibited vampire-like behavior prior to his death/disappearance, and a while back a maid was found dead, drained of blood with an apparent vampire bite on her neck. They wouldn't have even come in the first place if they'd known about the vampire background of the case.

I admit, they're acting a bit sissy right now, but still, it's mostly comic relief and a bit justified. As for the Christian thing, I believe the proper term is "lapsed" Christian: it means you don't go to church every Sunday but were baptized and still identify as a Christian. That doesn't mean they're not Christian anymore. All that really seems to matter is having a belief in God. Unfortunately for Ran and Kazuha, though, I'm pretty sure they weren't baptized, so they won't count. In other words, the cross probably won't be as effective as they'll hope. xD
