As for the case, this looks like it could be a good one. I mean, how many times do you open a coffin and see a guy with a stake through his heart?

Just me or that coffin oddly clean? Also the person that used that stake did a bad job seeing as the whole ideas of Staking is so the corpse can't get up and walk around. I'm calling prank.

seeing as how this is a vampire case, do you think there will be any reference to sherlock holmes story "The adventure of the Sussex vampire"
On a side note any1 seen the kidaichi case files involving the vampires, i read it and was really impressed. Hopefully Gosho will do the same with this case.

There's a pretty good chance that was where he got the idea from in the first place considering how much he likes Holmes and how many other Hattori cases have been based on Holmes stories.

Seems like the maid is new (if I am wrong, please correct me) so there really could be someting up with her. (I had the Idea that she was KID because she is drawn in the "default main character stile", like Amuro was)
About the face in the photograph: The mirror or something behind the girls was rigged so that the face was only visible when the flash hit the mirror and too dark to see when there wasn't a bright enough lightsource. Most likely it was the mirror itself that was prepared.
