I've been trying that and they have said that they've noticed a little bit of improvement
But it's just that the stupid discussion is completely worthless, I end up getting irritated at them which makes them irritated at me and it leads to absolutely nothing so I just want them to stop discussing it
Instead they can just say "You're talking too fast" but they insist on saying "You're talking too fast and it's completely your fault" when it's partly their fault as well
No one else since I've moved has had problems hearing what I say so they can't keep saying "It's because everyone here talks slowly"

You're making a big deal about them just saying "stop talking so fast"

You should still not be irritated about that. Just be calm about it.

there was really no discussion though. All they said was "you should stop talking so fast", to which you could have probably just said something like "yeah, sorry" and no discussion would have come from it. The entire "discussion" in your post stemmed precisely because you made a big deal about it.

As for who's at fault: There are two parties in any conversation. In this case, one who's talking at a certain speed, and two who are unable to comprehend the other person talking at that speed. Regardless of who you think is at fault, only one of them can take control of this situation in such a way as to solve the problem. Hint: They can't just decide to "understand faster". :V

I talk too fast sometimes as well, especially when I get passionate about something and I start to talk even quicker and maybe even slur my words together. If people tell me I'm talking too quickly though, it's understandably my fault, because they can't really do anything about it.

They've had them before, like 10 times since I moved and I said it to make them stop and they took it the compltely wrong way and got angry .__.
"I say sorry" and "I'm trying" every time and after that they say it's my fault and so on and on until I have to leave to make them stop talking about that and start complaining about me being immature instead since they don't stop otherwise

I'm still trying but they're acting like I'm talking too fast on purpose and get angry
And it's not that easy to change your normal talking speed

I always have to slow down my talking pace for my relatives in America, and generally have to consciously soften my accent too. Yeah, it takes effort to change your talking pace, but what else can you do? It's not like people can listen faster. no need to freak out about it, just bear in mind that if the person you're talking to can't keep up, you're the only one who can do anything about it.

Seriously, was that hard to understand?

I know how tiresome it can be to be told to talk slower DX
whenever someone tells me to talk slower i normally just say "but I was talking in a perfectly normal speed! how come you didnt understand me? we should talk more so you can understand me"
but even saying that doesnt help, ppl just get upset about something you cant stop doing
they always expect you to change instead of changing themselfs...maybe doesnt apply to kain's case but thats what happens with me

And besides you are old enough to take the discussion without getting upset, also old enough to not get angry about people nagging at you.

I think it was the second time it was said that made Kain annoyed and think they were going to get on her case in length again. Which yes, might not have happened, but if her dad's gf just left it after Kain had repeated herself then it would've been fine too. From my point of view, it wasn't just Kain at fault like you guys seem to make it seem like =\
