I would find it very disturbing if Shiho/Haibara ends up with Mitsuhiko. I mean, I want her to return to her real body and face the reality of life. I'm still hoping that another character would appear who is as smart as Shinichi and would make Shiho change her views in life. I don't want her to be alone and just watch Shinichi and Ran end up together and get jealous even if she tries to hide it. I want her to have her own love story.

Oh, sorry if I had just ranted.

What do you mean by "face the reality of life", exactly?

Cause either way she's facing the reality of life (which it seems like is a "bad" thing in this case that she needs to face so...)- in fact she's already seen a lot more of the darker side of life than a large majority of people in this world- and any happiness she's gonna get is most likely going to come from staying as a child. 8/

What I mean by that is that she shouldn't think she could live forever as Haibara like Shiho never existed. It seems like she wants to forget everything about her past but really, she couldn't escape it with all the business she had with the BO. Remember her saying something like, "I wish we could stay like this forever" and occasionally she would say things not likely for her to say (something about dreams/happiness) and then say that she was joking. She's probably too scared to return to her past, and I think someone (besides Shinichi) should make her fears go away.

Not only I don't think she wouldn't go back to being Shiho any time soon, I don't think it's necessary for her. She finally has freedom and people she can call friends. Returning to being Shiho would be to throw all of that away because of... what, exactly?

Besides, it's not like she's gonna stay back as a child forever, is she?

Aaaand living as Haibara automatically means she forgets all about being Miyano? The DB will get smarter and by then I'm pretty sure that they'd start to catch on to her maturity and exactly how much she knows. She'll be forced to run into it one way or another, even as Haibara.

Mitsuhiko is very likely to help her through that- being the patient, caring, intelligent, mature-for-his-age boy that he is.

If you want that for Haibara Mitsuhiko should be your first choice! XD Is there some type of disconnect here or....?

None of this changes the fact that Mitsuhiko is a seven-year-old boy and Haibara is an eighteen-year-old woman.

Okay, okay, I understand your concerns. That was just my opinion. No need to get all worked up.

But, like I said earlier, Mitsuhiko and Haibara/Shiho are 11 years apart and I wonder how would Mitsuhiko take that when he learns about it. And also, Haibara/Shiho must tell him everything (yes, EVERYTHING) if they ever decide to start a relationship. Mitsuhiko must be mature enough by that time and if he still decides to go for her, then good for them. But what if he doesn't? He also has the right to decide for his life, right?.

And we'll never know if she'll stay like that forever (whatever APTX might do to her, same for Conan). About her having friends, they would most likely still be her friends if she returns to her real body.

....Point being? :P

If she's staying as Haibara Mitsuhiko would eventually get older and more mature.... riiiight? xD

11 years apart is nothing new. Do you know how many people are married that are 12 or 13 years apart? xD

Chances are he'll find out when he's older and he'll most-likely figure it out on his own. This won't make it any easier on the poor boy but hey... who's going to object to dating an older woman, anyways? :P Jk, jk.... he'll probably be upset at first but know that she's still the same Haibara- regardless of how old she is.

APTX may eventually kill them for all we know and it just takes a LOT longer than Haibara initially THOUGHT the drug would, but that's no reason not to support a couple.

Natsu could die as could Lucy from Fairy Tail in ANY GIVEN FIGHT and a LARGE majority of a fan-base still supports them. :/

WHY the HELL would she even BOTHER returning to being Miyano if she'll still have the friends, anyways? xD It's just more beneficial to stay as Haibara......

As I said once before: My parents are 9 years apart. If I complained about age gaps, I'd be complaining about my own damn existence.

Age gaps mean nothing. I mean, I don't approve relationships between a grownup and a minor, but one of those statuses isn't forever, you know. Once two persons are no longer minors then there's nothing wrong in starting a relationship, or do you think there is? Why?

Except so would Haibara, making her almost 30 while he turns 18. There is still a huge maturity difference. I understand it's common for older people to date high schoolers and such. But come on. He's seven. Seven.

Yeah, there are cases like that, but you're not really sure that Mitsuhiko will actually do that. You're saying it would be fine but neither you (probably) nor I do not have any idea what would that be like knowing the truth (and an unimaginable one) after so many years of being deceived...

Whatever you said about Fairy Tail... I don't get it. No other animes here please.

I'm just considering the chances of Mitsuhiko not ending up with Haibara/Shiho (and you'll never know how big or small that probability is). If she doesn't, she would end up alone and I don't want that.

Yes he is, in this point of the story. He's not gonna be 7 forever.

And I'm not talking about them starting to date IN THIS POINT OF THE STORY. No no no no no. But uh, one day, maybe?

And about your parents and other married people 12 or more years apart, that's different from this because they already knew that FROM THE START. Imagine, Mitsuhiko has been thinking Haibara is of the same age until he knows the truth 11 years or so later. And the truth isn't only of her real age, it's about her past with the BO and what happened why she is in that state now. He didn't know anything about that and it would hurt him much.

But that doesn't change who Haibara is. He knew her when she was 18 and any changes that had happened in the past 10 or so years it takes for him to catch up he'd already know and be used to.

If his feelings are strong enough to have stayed up until that point, I'm pretty sure he'd come to the conclusion: "No, Haibara is Haibara- no matter what she's been through or how much older she is.".

I think he'd be hurt that she kept it from him for so long, but he's probably ALREADY smart enough to understand why she did it at the age he is now- why wouldn't he in the future? I don't think there'd be much of an issue there. It'd just pull them closer together.
