Re: Today's Bad Stories !

My aunt's dog Konjak didn't get along with Mozart and attacked him when they met while Mozart just wanted to play D: So at first we had to lock Mozart into the bedroom which made him whimper constantly, it was painful to listen :'(
Then after awhile we decided we could try to have the dogs on leashes and have them in the same room, which worked except for the fact that Konjak was growling and Mozart was whimpering because Konjak didn't want to be with him ^^'
But after awhile both of them kept quiet and we could even take of the leashes since Mozart understood that he wasn't supposed to go near Konjak while Konjak just stayed in the couch to cuddle with me and my aunt's husband

But it's still too bad that Konjak doesn't like him D: .. Just because Mozart is bigger (my aunt's husband said that could be the only reason since he doesn't care about smaller male dogs) :-X

^I have not been able to see the movie yet, and because of the shootings I likely will never be allowed to go into a theater ever again, if my dad has anything to say about it. He woke me up at 7AM local time on the day of the shooting to inform me that he would be waiting patiently for the DVD release and that I would be too. (I think he forgets I'm not a kid anymore  :( )

If it's any consolation to the families of the victims, at least the gunman will never be able to bring harm upon anyone else ever again.
Knowing the truth and knowing what to do with the truth are two completely separate ideas. Learn to distinguish them. OR ELSE.

I'm still getting to go see it in cinemas, because my parents are like "this is why we live in the UK where nobody has guns". I think there's been a grand total of three mass shootings in the UK in the past thirty years, and only one of those since private ownership of handguns was banned. You can still get a shotgun for hunting purposes if you undergo psych tests and get a million licenses. Certainly makes me feel a hell of a lot safer than anyone being able to walk into Tesco and get a gun.

To be fair, it's not like you can just waltz into a gun shop and buy a gun.  There are background checks and things (which are of limited help, unfortunately).  It's one of those things, though, that if a criminal wants a gun to shoot someone, he's going to get it whether it's legal or not.

I have a depressed friend who's thinking of self harm and living on the other side of the country, and I can't do anything about it either. Life sucks

I know the feeling :-\ *had a really close friend who tried to commit suicide* She survived and was taken to the hospital though, which I found out one week after she called to say bye and then she tried again shortly after that T__T She survived and I didn't find out until recently when I managed to find her mom on facebook, I cried for hours in relief since I was sure she had succeeded

Why does the Westboro Baptist Church take away every feeling of happiness in my heart and replace it with hate?

Because they're awful, evil people.  More so, since they're doing all this crap and claiming to be Christian.

Yeah, there's nothing in the Bible that says "Thou shalt not watch movies" or anything like that.  Besides, both of the movies you mentioned have themes of, y'know, like saving the world.  :|  How awful.  How could anyone watch a movie like that?

^ :P
My dad owns like 5-6 guns plus a revolver, we're not using them for killing people at cinemas, simply for fun/competitions :-X *been in two, will be in a third one next month*
Fun = to shoot on proper places, not just own it :-X

I think it still makes a huge difference if some random psychophath who feels like shooting people once in a while can just grab a gun and do it, or would still have to go through the trouble of illegally getting one.

The very most of the shooting incidents I remember included a situation where a teenager had access to his father's guns.

That is called poor parenting.  If a father owns a gun, he ought to teach his kids about them - including how to not shoot them.
