Not only this would be hilarious in itself, but it would lend itself to many more hilarious moments.
Just imagine it: Kogoro suddenly becoming overzealous about being a great detective in his own terms (and messing up more because of this) because he doesn't want to lose to a kid (even 17-year-old-form Shinichi is a kid in his eyes anyway!). Kogoro more actively trying to kick out Conan from the investigation sites just so he doesn't steal the spotlight. Kogoro later trying to secretly conference with Conan when he realizes he can't make heads or tails of a case.
Worse: Kogoro freaking out along Conan when Heiji calls him Kudo. Kogoro changing his boasts for nervous laughter when someone reminds him of his fame. Kogoro freaking out at the threat of any moment that could be interpreted as Ran and Shinichi (as Conan) being intimate together, even if by accident.
And even better: Kogoro being actively involved in BO cases and being badass while doing so.
This would please me a helluva lot.

However, yeah. Let's remember that Aoyama-sensei doesn't tolerate eccentricities or odd personal preferences (most of the time) and that his character's detection often depends on the simplest path and the most common/popular choices/courses of action/decisions/etc.
Now the question is...
...what does Aoyama-sensei use to eat ice cream cake?
(I really doubt the trick requires a spoon. I really, really, really doubt it.)

the thing is if ice cream cake is big enough to satisfy the fatty ishiguri then ishiguri would know that it would melt (no matter how strong AC was)before he could finish and he should have brought spoon.
and the knife is extremely suspicious to me. after all what kind of guy would even think of using it while eating alone and forget the spoon?
I was wondering if any1's noticed how indifferent amuro is acting with mouri, sort of pushing him out the picture while complimenting conan at the same time.

We might get a Amuro-Conan confrontation/sign-off like the last Eisuke case in the next File, Amuro is basically at a similar level of Conan understanding(and like Eisuke would think Conan=Shinichi is impossible only because they don't know APTX's side effect, last panel) and the shocking re-apperance after a huge incident in which they reveal their true identity part is similar for both Eisuke and Amuro as well.

Yeah, especially in my opinion Amuro is haughty.
Come back to the case, did anyone also noticed that Kotone have never mentioned that she came with Machi to the Ishiguri’s room? From what she said I assumed that she had been there only one time and it was the very same time with Machi. However Kotone said, that she got the answer from victim when according to Machi Ishiguri didn’t give any response.
From the position of body the culprit before leaving the room probably put the body lay on his left side so that will explain the strange position of the hands.

Ishiguri and Conan go up to Ishiguri's room together. (1)
Kotone goes upstairs to check if Ishiguri really doesn't want to eat with them. She gets a response from him. (2)
People downstairs help prepare lunch. (3)
Ran and Sonoko go up to Ishiguri's room to give Conan his portion of the lunch. They don't get a response. (4)
Everyone but Conan and Ishiguri eats lunch downstairs. (5)
Everyone helped clean up after lunch. Ran and Sonoko helped Noboru put the trash in his truck. (6)
Kotone, Ran, and Sonoko took a shower. (7)
Machi went upstairs to tell Ishiguri that she was taking a shower. She got no response, and also felt the AC was on. (8)
Machi took a shower and then helped the girls with their grip tapes. (9)
Kotone and Machi went upstairs together to check on Ishiguri. They got no answer and thought he was asleep. (10)
Everyone was downstairs and heard a loud sound. Conan woke up. (11)
Noboru went upstairs sometime between (6) and (11) and didn't get a response from Ishiguri either. (He likely went around (7), but that's just a guesstimate.)
