"complete physical and cognitive rest"=sleeping is the #1 step listed under treatment in the Concussion Wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concussion, so Sleep is not only not bad but also the preferred treatment.
Complete physical AND COGNITIVE rest, huh?

Ten bucks says Conan passes out again at the end of the case.
...And Amuro ends up driving him to the hospital

I don't know, this just feels like a "What? That Amuro guy is...nice?" sorta case :x

Conan: But he saved me.

Here we go, cRACK THEORY! Well not really, but what if the Amuro in this file was actually Kaito in disguise~ Yeah, cuz he was picking locks and all that, and Kaito wanted to find out more about the BO from Conan.

Sleep is a part of the treatment of concussions, but not in the first 72 hours and especially not in the first 8 hours. You're supposed to keep the victim awake since sleeping too long can be a sign of brain trauma / damage.

I also don't think Amuro has a reason to break character around Conan and the Mouri gang since they were not directly involved in the mystery train incident as far as he knows. I doubt Vermouth would intentionally endanger Conan by explaining Kid and his part in Shiho's escape. Similar to Vermouth's courtesy to Yukiko, Vermouth may have a courtesy toward Toichi with regard to Kaito about leaving him alone.

Yes, that makes sense. Conan told him to "drop off his cellphone", right? so maybe he's planning to give it back in person dressed up as Amuro. Idk  ;D

When she heard a noise coming from a ceiling, she simply assumed a noise is coming from Ishiguri's room, which means that her trap for killing Ishiguri is working.

She knew that she didn't see a spare key from Ishiguri's room since yesterday morning. How do she know that? She had checked it cautiously.

Of course these hints are still far from convincing, wait for more hints in File 826.
This just popped into my head, what if the incident that happened to Conan was actually her "practicing" the trick. A racket into Ishiguri's head, leading to dizziness, dizziness leading to tripping, tripping to knocking off the vase in his head. And since the racket can be thrown from a distance, a locked room can be done. With perfect timing I think this could be done. What do you think?

Not actually necessary, and not really plausible. I don't think Vermouth knows who Kaito Kid is/was, anyway.

Vermouth wouldn't dare to go against Kaito Kid because

a) Nobody (except for Jii and Akako... And, well, Kaito... and perhaps Hakuba?) knows who Kaito Kid really is, much less Vermouth
b) Going against him would reveal she knows something the others don't
c) She's gotta keep her secrets. A secret makes a woman a woman, remember?

Well yeah. Amuro has no reason not to be nice to people who aren't the BO's targets. Hell, he's even nice to the BO's targets.

I wouldn't really expect Bourbon to go against Conan or start investigating him/his friends. Hell, maybe he's even there to PROTECT THEM, as far as we know Vermouth and Bourbon are some sort of a team - and Bourbon made a certain promise to Vermouth. Said promise could be to ensure the safety of her beloved Cool Guy and Angel, and those around them too.

I don't think it's implausible that Vermouth knew Kuroba Toichi was the original Kaitou Kid.

I think your theory is accurate, but more details should follow.!

Also, i think here, Conan will have to take a risk to have a deduction show in front of Amuro and this time Amuro may discover something!!

about the locked room trick ,how about this theory

culprit killed the victim with that vase. escaped by window (he used some trick to close window from outside ) and left by veranda .
as it was said in file , it had been done by the suspects before.
Spoiler: Crack theory
when conan slept soundly , ishiguri turned off AC. conan's alter ego got way annoyed and used the "death bringer ability" on him. finishing him off with a vase so conan will not be suspected .

Such an interesting case this week... almost as though to make up for the false climax we had last time? Who knows ....

Most of my ideas have already been said, much better than I would have exposed them, too. A number of them I prefer more than others:

1) Somehow this makes me think it was really an unfortunate accident. However, I think I'm being taken in. Conan wakes up thinking the aircon was switched off 'for his sake', which means it worked when he went to bed. This can occur either by timer, or manually. A timer would indicate a possible trick; when it gets hot enough to melt something/heat something up. Ice? Perhaps. There will be water mixed in with the blood next chapter, or water marks.

Manually having it off could mean two things for me.
-> a) This REALLY is an unfortunate accident. The victim and his notorious sense of humour were in there making a joke, ready for Conan to wake up and fall for it (possibly get injured by it too), and he is the one who switched if off to velocify Conan's awakening. However, he slipped or fell in his own trick. I would somehow rule this out - it's not really in Gosho's style, and may actually be something Kogoro would point out.
-> b) The murderer was the one who switched the aircon off. This splits off again in two directions.
---> i) As already pointed out, in order wake Conan up, and seeing that he is a child, scream and bring everyone in. This would move the victim, and possibly cover that either there are water marks (or icecream cake marks?) mixed in with the blood b) smear blood all over enough that the murder weapon (which I suspect is the racket, rather than the vase) goes overlooked or c) hides evidence I'm not bright enough to catch. What woke Conan up was the noise everyone in the house heard anyway.
---> OR, as is really making me think, to appear in the room. The only thing is that everyone seems to be in the corridor prior to Amuro fiddling the door open, so the culprit hiding in the room and waiting for everyone to walk in to join would only make sense if someone was missing from the roll call.

And last but not least... the noise that woke Conan up and made everyone trudge up to the room seems to me to have been rather loud. That no previous sound was heard by Conan or the residents is another mystery. I am then left with four questions:

Was Conan or the vicitim neutralised with chloroform? This would explain the lack of noise if the victim was trussed up to wait for the trick involving aircon and icecream cake or ice to kill him.

Why is the vase whole? Is it a marble vase, that is difficult to break, and heavy enough to kill? Or is it a simple vase, in which case a clue?

Is the window we see in the last panel, just off the victim's shoe, a clue?

And the big one: How is Conan solving this one without tipping Resident BO Member off?

Hmm.... I honestly love this week's issue.

Conan has a p big problem. He will probably not use Kogoro. The chance is high that Amuro will get suspiouce. But if nobody can find the murder Ran will probably try to call Shinichi. This would be worde. Conan is between a rock and a hard place.

Or Amuro could just be a good guy and do it himself(with some hints from Conan, ala the Ikkaku Rock Case with Okiya), which is the general theme of this file anyway.

but if he did that, shinigami-Conan could've turned the AC back on too :) , or he just woke Conan up to see the body?
