so we know that one of BO goal is to created "Silver Bullet" which been develop by Shino parents. what do you think the Drug do?  ???

Most common speculation probably Immortality / anti-Aging since high chance that it related to APTX 4869 which Ai is develop. This can be also linked with ever staying young Vermouth.

i think is worth of think why do they chose "Silver Bullet" Codename?

Silver Bullet have 3 meaning

- A effective weapon that can kill monster that usually immune to standard weapon. usually werewolf.
- A quick solution to a difficult problem.
- A cocktail

You might change the title to APTX or something, as "silver bullet" is technically a manga spoiler at this point.

I think silver bullet is the APTX 4869 antidote, which makes it a solution for killing the "unkillable".  I think that's what the BO has wanted all along, a way to cure someone who is eternally young and no longer wants to be.  Beyond that, using APTX and its antidote, would give the organization a very effective covert tool.

I hope I can clear up some confusion

I would like to know where you got the idea of a "silver bullet"

I know two places where this is talked about.

1) the drink that shows who is human is then "haunted ship" case
2) The talk that Gin and Vermouth had.

As for the later, I think is where the confusion is. Two people were suggested to be Silver Bullets. One is Shinichi and the other is Akai. As Akai never had either kind of drug, and as yet called a silver bullet, should show your idea does not have a ground to stand on. By the way that reference was meaning bring the big bad WereWolf down. That is the BO and either Akai or Conan is the silver bullet.

no and not worried about it. It sets up a contradiction, and also is then any reason to lie to either Conan (from Haibara) or Haibara (from her mom). As A name can be power, It is possible that BOTH are lying. Waiting for the verifying proof. One source for me is not enough. It is like the internet. One should NEVER believe all they read or see. Way too may con artist for that. Back to an old question. If your teacher told you the sky was Orange, would you 1) start calling blue, orange, 2) say to yourself that in this on special case that color is orange, ever other time it is blue, 3) say that even though your teacher is calling a blue sky orange, that your teacher must be wrong and the sky is blue. What is truth?

Ai Dad is the sciencist. Her mom may or may not be. It does say both started it. But Her mom's role may have been nothing more then typing up notes or bring something to drink when needed. . . Ie support Role. If that is So then she would have gotten intel from him, and Again I ask the same question. If not knowing the name of the drug and what it does might make her safer, then if he loved her, there is good reason to believe he would lie to her. Also the name of the drug may not be the name, but a nickname in that they might believe that working on and possibly completing it could lead to the end of the BO and those the drug is a kind if silver bullet. More context is needed.

I doubt that after all the more information about the organization pet project, the more dangerous their position. Also giving something two names is asking to confuse them, something I can not see the BO doing. Also real world that might happen for marketing, but I can not see the BO caring about changing its name. No I think it is must like their nickname for something they see as will bring down the organization. The foreshadowing the End of the BO because of this Drug, and If Conan does bring it down, their Prophecy will happen. I think it is a nickname for the drug by only those two.

Also look at it as symbolism. Silver Bullets kill Evil, why would a evil organization want to name something after something that kills evil? Is that kind of like a death wish? As in do not say it or it will happen? Would the BO really play with fate?

Another idea is that "Silver Bullet" could be the Miyano parents' nickname for the project, and APTX 4869 was adopted later at the more official name (boss renamed it because he wanted a mystery reference?). In any case, I think it is clear Silver Bullet and APTX 4869 are both the same project because Haibara was considering her own work and looking at the physical APTX antidote she has with her while monologueing/flashbacking. This does add some evidence that Vermouth may have been involved in the earlier stages of development with the parents if she is using the Miyano's old nickname to refer to the APTX-affected Shinichi.

Maybe the Black Organization doesn't think of itself as evil, just a necessary means to what they consider a good end a la well intentioned extremist? (TVTropes Warning!)

I chose 'other' because none of the choices quite fitted my theory/idea based on intuition.

Resurrection seems far fetched to me  and  I really don't want something like Conan vs Zombies (of all the victims in which our megane Shinigami has been detective) >.>

I think the Silver Bullet that Ai's parents were working on is an earlier stage of the APTX. The Silver Bullet/APTX is intended to bring back youth and in turn, let the user gain immortality. I think at some stage Vermouth/Sharon wanted to leave the organisation like Shiho did (? for reasons unknown - I need to find evidence for that) and took the Silver Bullet thinking that it was one of the other projects that the Science faculty in the Black Org were working on, but she turned young instead.

Why create something that can bring youth back?
