Honestly, my answer is "whenever I feel like stopping". It could be within the first 5 minutes or 200-something episodes in. :-X

2 or 3. And if it doesn't COMPLETELY bore me maybe 4. But then if it's still not luring me in even though it's not boring then I drop it like a rock.

I don't often check out new anime, but when I do it has the first episode to enthrall me or lose me.
