Even if he hadn't seen sleeping kogoro.
He knows that conan has a tranquilizer gun.
i think he has met kogoro before. not sure.
but by looking at that hopeless detective,
and looking at how smart conan is,
he could probably infer than conan was behind all this.
kogoro has also appeared on tv.

and if that theory is wrong,
conan might have shared his secrets with him.

i'm not completely convinced by myself that eisuke was akai.

I actually don't believe myself.
i'm just discussing my opinions with others.

If one is not a full-fledged actor, his ego will stop him from acting as an entirely different person (e.g. Kaitou Kid acts as an ordinary policeman but is showing too much intelligence for his role, getting exposed in the process). I mean if I were Akai, it's hard to act as a klutz...

avid is right, this page shows camel leading eisuke out and you can see eisuke is shorter than akai.

We can also say that Akai = Okiya = Bourbon... <-- "IF" this is true then they have two wedge's now 

And if it is true that Akai = Eisuke in that episode, then he should have gotten a lesson from a teacher, different or maybe the same, as the one who taught Vermout, Yukiko, and Kaito Kuroba (yes his dad)...  Face changing + voice changing IMO

Akai had never seen Sleeping Kogoro, so if he were really Eisuke in disguise (after getting "killed") he wouldn't be able to make the comparison.

He is with the FBI. Although is now dead to them , he could have gotten information about kogoro from before he "died". Remember the stolen then returned files from the Police station?

hakkaino7, I think what he meant is that because Ran was in that episode, you can do some height estimations by comparing the Eisuke - Akai height difference by means of Ran's height. Eisuke is slightly (not even noticeably enough) taller than Ran but Akai is obviously taller than her.

But it did feel different though, although I'm sure now that it was just my imagination, it felt like he still looked different, the drawing, hair, clothes maybe? Anyway...

While I was checking out Akai and Eisuke's height by comparing with Ran's... At some point, Eisuke get's shorter! hahahha!

Well, their height didn't seem that much noticeable. I think, but for Akai to be Eisuke at this episode, Gosho has to ignore their height for that to happen. Or have Ran and Sonoko wear higher heels(lol) at that episode. Then stress it at some point later on.

OR...

He really isn't Akai that time, but if it were that, then there's a different plan here...

It would be a good story line if that were true, Akai suddenly showing up, and then executing a perfect plan to get rid of the organization but then fails afterward then he dies for real this time... 

But if I were him (Gosho), I'd go about the internet and see what others think will happen and disprove all of that by putting a plot line that was not thought of by anyone even if it will completely change what i had in mind. But I'm not him so...

If i were him i would like to do that too but its unrealistic with a lot of people having all these ideas and having to turn down all the ideas everyone speculated, he wouldn't be able to do anything at all anymore... so i guess since he has proved himself to be good at his vision of the storyline, i want to see what he really planned on doing with the story based on his thoughts alone...

What believe is, he's going to join the organization because Gin thinks he's dead. He probably might not reconize him.
In one of the episodes, he says, "I forget the faces of those who died."
I don't know what he's going to do next.

There are points that gv hints that he's alive but aren't certain.
* His head moved from when he was bleeding in the car, until when Kir was about to put in the bomb.
* Conan knows the person who died was Shuichi, but he acts like he's alive. He says, "It's alright"
* Akai had a grin on his face before he died.
* He reached into his pocket before "dying" possibly for a button that activivates the blood pack in his touque. ^^

Actually, doesn't he say "I don't remember the face of those who I've killed"?
If it's so, he would recognize him right away since he was able to see through Vermouth's disguise in one of the episodes when she was serving them martini while she was disguised as a male waiter.
