Well the dead guy has a gun with a silencer in his right hand, it kind of fits with a "suicide"...
So how come Conan knew it was a murder?

Probably harks back to Kogorou's Class Reunion. No burn mark on his head or something.Abs. wrote: Well the dead guy has a gun with a silencer in his right hand, it kind of fits with a "suicide"...

Really disliking how clueless Conan seems to be about the impending BO doom lately.

Re: *SPOILER FREE* Discussion Thread: Detective Conan Files
Could it be that the whole room switch was instantly set up by the culprit because his/her murder trick would have worked only in room 8B or, by extension, only in car 8 because of the presence of all others (Orient Express, anyone...)? We all know from file 818 that the victim should have stayed in that room as always did, if not for Kogoro's, Ran's and Sonoko's presence (so his presence in that room would have been quite predictable).
Also, it's interesting that everything happened while the train was going through a tunnel... We can see the Bell Tree Express entering it on page 11, and from that point on the windows are always darkened. And hey, if Gosho titled the file this way, there should be a reason...

He strikes me as knowing about it completely and doesn't want to acknowledge it because then Haibara knows something.Wakarimashita wrote:This.1Kaito wrote: Really disliking how clueless Conan seems to be about the impending BO doom lately.

So he wants Haibara remain completely clueless about what´s going on, even thought he knows it´s dangerous?
Sounds stupid

Well she doesn't tell anything to Conan so I think it's pretty understandable he does the same. I wouldn't tell everything to someone who is obviously unwilling to tell me anything.

Yeah XD. Conan believes he has to protect Haibara and is naturally private about certain things anyway. Also, if he gives too much away about what he knows of current developments it could tip her and the others off making their reactions suspicious, something he can't afford with possible BO members around (especially SA if Conan knows he's wandering about).

Do you notice that the murder plot is very very similar to Agatha Christie's orient express? It almost seem that the victim was part of those who play the murder plot scenario following Christie's novel.
Haibara also mentioned that she sensed more than several menacing presence. Can't wait to see the next chapter!

he's not oblivious, he's just keeping everyone in the dark from his amazing borg-catching plan and relaxing because everything's taken care of.1Kaito wrote: Really disliking how clueless Conan seems to be about the impending BO doom lately.

Yeah you're right I had completely frogotten about the title.. it didn't even struck me (after reading the file) why the file was titled like that. If the title was "Tunnel" then maybe the trick of the murder is related to the train entering the tunnel or something.TeoFed89 wrote: Could it be that the whole room switch was instantly set up by the culprit because his/her murder trick would have worked only in room 8B or, by extension, only in car 8 because of the presence of all others (Orient Express, anyone...)?
