I know... But it has been 2 straight games already... Anyway my rant was only a Heat of the Moment.dilbertschalter wrote: celtics don't get anything in 2008 without some terrible calls.bad calls happen every game for both sides and the home team tends to get quite a lot of love from the refs. that's not to say that everything is fair, but the whining/conspiracy theories are overblown.Beastly wrote: F--K LOGIC F--K THE REFS F--K MIAMI F--K STERN THIS IS BOGUSSSS. The Heat committed 18 fouls and took 47 free throws. The Celtics were whistled for 33 fouls and attempted 29 foul shots.
In the final five minutes of regulation and OT, the Heat attempted 18 free throws. The Celtics took two.
Five Celtics committed four or more fouls. One Heat player had four fouls. His name was Norris Cole.
James and Dwyane Wade combined for 35 foul shots and four personal fouls. Their counterparts, Pierce and Ray Allen, combined for seven free throws and eight personal fouls.
The Celtics attempted 25 shots at the rim. The Heat took 26 within three feet. Both teams made 14.
Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass got to the rim 21 times and took 28 free throws.
James, Wade, Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem got to the rim 23 times and took 45 free throws.
In the second quarter, the Celtics leading by 11, Rondo dove for a loose ball, James landed on top of him and Rondo was whistled for a foul. James earned two free throws.
Wade raked Rondo’s face with 1:35 remaining in overtime and the game tied, 105-105. No whistle.
In the last 10 years, three players have taken 24 FTs in a playoff game. James and Wade are two of them.
Since 1986, seven players have taken 24 free throws in 11 separate playoff games. Nine were by players from the home team. James was also involved in one of the remaining two.
This season, a team attempted 47 free throws in five different games. Four involved the home team. The other involved Dwight Howard‘s NBA-record 39 free throws, almost all part of a Hack-A-Howard strategy.
The Celtics and Heat have played seven playoff games in the last two seasons. Miami attempted more free throws in six of them. The other was a Celtics home game.
In those seven meetings, the Heat have been whistled for 141 fouls and attempted 223 free throws. The Celtics have committed 165 fouls and taken 156 free throws.
In their last two head-to-head playoff series, James and Wade have attempted 150 free throws. The two Celtics who get to the rim most often, Pierce and Rondo, have taken 50.

Thunder up 13 at the half - hopefully they won't screw it up, although even if they lose, seeing Ginobili get snuffed by Perkins will have made this game worth the watch

Wasn't expecting a blowout, but it was a pleasant surprise! How about Thabo Sefolosha? Not only did he play some monster defense on Parker and the rest, he was also helping lead the offense. Not sure why Brooks didn't play him more in game 2. Brooks is a decent coach for the most part, but some of his decisions are a little out there.
Looking forward to Boston pulling off a similar performance tomorrow, they deserve a win.

Lol, yeah, he did! I was just about to switch over to NBA TV for the interviews, glad I stayed to catch it. I don't see it though personally, she's not hot at all in my opinion. Maybe 30 years ago, perhaps.

I might be a little bias but I think Rondo's the best PG in the league... CP3? Tell me his biggest playoffs game?

CP3 definitely is the best PG in the league. Look what he did to the Clippers, and notice the huge drop when he left from the Hornets. You gotta take note that, Rondo is playing with 3 potential HoFs and a great coach..
CP3 gets Vinny Del Negro, Blake Griffin who is very raw and inconsistent in defense and creating his own offense, and a bunch of guys who can only dunk. Yet, they grab the 4th seed in the West.
Also I'd take Deron Williams, Tony Parker, Derrick Rose, and Steve Nash over Rondo.

Tony Parker over him sure but Deron and Nash? Rose is debatable... But Rondo did averaged triple double against him in 09. AND FOR ME Rose is a SG trapped in PG's body like AI, Marbury and a lot more.ranger wrote:Hahaha. Â A little?Beastly wrote: I might be a little bias but I think Rondo's the best PG in the league...
