Vermouth killed Jodie's father to DESTROY his FBI documents, which apparently had some proof that she was immortal or whatever.  Gin just needed the memory card destroyed, so the bullet went through that and into Irish's chest.

Conan's reasoning that chief Matsumoto (hope I got his name right) must be Irish "because of difference in body structure" is not convincing.  Vermouth can totally disguise as a BIGGER person.  She's just can't disguise as a SMALLER person.

I think Conan's reasoning was sound here. I am guessing Matsumoto has at least a foot/30 cm on Vermouth. For the disguise to be successful, Vermouth is going to need to add that height somewhere. It would have to be in the shoes which in going to make the legs look oddly proportioned because the leg below the knee is a lot longer than the leg above the knee. As police chief, Matsumoto might be required to do some running around, which would be very difficult to do convincingly in high, high heels. Also with all that extra padding in the shoulders, it would make Matsumoto's neck look kind of short if you are using a small person as the base.

OK, I'm confused. Where does the memory card come from in the first place? Vermouth mentions that it belonged to a BO member who was one of the original seven killed? The memory card was in pouch taken from the victim. So, one of the original seven from the elevator a BO member? Who was that?

Vermouth is... an odd character. She's not good but she doesn't really strike me as bad either. I think she wants to believe in good, that's why she's so fond of Ran and Conan. She's hard to read. It'd probably be easier if we knew slightly more than bugger-all about her past and who she really is.
