Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
I haven't even seen Thor yet and I have all of these feelings for Loki from it. ;.; (Thank you tumblr gifs!)
I'm completely ecstatic though for Thor 2. Actually, I'm excited for all the sequels.

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Go back and watch Thor. It's very well-done. I think a full version of the movie is available on YouTube somewhere.
I'm praying that the others don't suffer Sequelitis. That said, I enjoyed Iron Man 2, and the Avengers could be considered a sequel to the other five, so if they're all that well done then I'm all for it.

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Oh wow. How can you understand some of Avengers scenes while you haven`t even seen Thor yet? Like why Loki is exiled, how Thor can "go down" to Earth, How Eric Selvig is a friend of Thor, and how Nick aware of Asgardian, and that Destroyer Gun?alicetama wrote: I haven't even seen Thor yet and I have all of these feelings for Loki from it.
My friends planned to watch The Avengers together a couple days after I watched the premiere, and I joined them to watch it for the second time. I asked every single one of them if they had watched Iron Man, Hulk, Iron Man 2, Cap. America, Thor. Many of them had not watched Thor, and I was like "Watch it, or you`ll regret it later". After watched The Avengers, many of them thanked me for my recomendation
Avengers is the sequel for the others. Those who watch Thor should watch Avengers first before watch Thor 2, or they will be confused why Loki that fall from that Bifrost at the end of Thor 1 suddenly in Asgard at the start of the Thor 2.mangaluva wrote: and the Avengers could be considered a sequel to the other five, so if they're all that well done then I'm all for it.

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Thor is really very necessary to understand anything about Loki in The Avengers. I'm amazed you fangirl him so much without having seen it. I mean, most of the rabid fangirls are the "But he's so MISUNDERSTOOD!!!1!" ones. I'm not a fangirl, but there are a few scenes where I'd like to give him a hug.
... also, playing Fun With Mythology with a friend and we noticed a slightly awkward/hilarious implication about Loki tooling around with Thanos... is Loki aware that his daughter is exactly Thanos' type? (Not that it's really given whether or not Loki is a parent in this universe, but Sleipnir exists, so he's implicitly a mother at least...)
Also, a rewatch of The Incredible Hulk made the scene where Hulk randomly punches Thor right out of shot extra hilarious. Specifically the scene where the Hulk is startled by a thunderstorm and flings a boulder at the sky after a flash of lightning XD

To answer mangaluva and Dark Ren: I follow the Loki tag on Tumblr, in which a lot of gifs of scenes are posted. I also watched a few deleted scenes. XD

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
I will, when I get the chance. I'm kinda afraid to though because I also see some hate posts on Thor's love interest (I think her name's Jane?) saying, 'SHE IS THE CAUSE FOR LOKI'S SADNESS' or something like that, and I don't want to end up hating her because she's portrayed by Natalie Portman who I think is a great actress. ;w;
I think they're Thorki shippers though. (And speaking of Thorki, that is the strangest shipping name I've ever heard. Kinda sounds like 'forky'.)

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
...Jane is nothing to do with Loki's mental breakdown.
Also, while I'm all for kooky ships, Thorki disturbs me. They're brothers. The fact that they're not related by blood doesn't make it any less wrong. Yet Thor/Loki fanstuff is EVERYWHERE. All I want is some Stark/Banner T_T

I know she isn't. I was just saying what those crazy insane people on Tumblr are saying.
Well, that's interesting. :3 (I would say more but since I haven't seen the movie yet, I can't. XD)

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Thor didn't really grab me either, and I wanted to like it. D: I'm with Akonyl; it just bored me a little (not enough to where I hate it or anything, but enough to make me not really care for it). Plot-wise I felt myself losing interest, and I didn't feel like anyone had enough stage presence to keep me focused on the characters either.
I thought Thor did better playing off the other Avengers than he did on his own. I liked him in the new movie. Loki, too. (Felt the same about Chris Evans too, btw, though I liked Captain America better than Thor.)
Edit: I'm hoping so hard that the new Spider-Man won't suck. Spider-Man has been my boyfriend favorite Marvel hero since I was six and I want so much for him to have a good line of movies. ;_;

Spiderman desperately needs a good series. The new one looks like it'll be pretty good.pofa wrote: Thor didn't really grab me either, and I wanted to like it. I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

yeah, since it also seems to keep the "spidey makes jokes that he really shouldn't" side of things, which wasn't very present in the previous trilogy.Commi-Ninja wrote:Spiderman desperately needs a good series. Don't believe what other people say, especially for a film! And although I don't think that Thor had the level of awesomeness that Iron Man had, it's still a nice film. And yeah, you'll understand Loki better after seeing italicetama wrote: I know she isn't. I was just saying what those crazy insane people on Tumblr are saying.
