If it weren't for the fact that they know the kids are in danger, I wouldn't mind the whole "smoke is from a campfire" reason. Only...they know that the kids were being chased by the murderer. I would say that finding them should be a pretty big priority, or at the very least they check certain things. I guess they also don't know that a cabin is there, but still

Dunno why some people are complaining about the fact that they're dismissing the smoke as coming from a camp fire. If you're on a camp ground, of course the average person is going to assume that the smoke comes from a camp fire. Most people aren't going to think that the smoke is from a wood cabin that caught on fire. Heck, it's why the culprit set it on fire in the first place.

well, the hair is the same and she is bare-footed, so I think it should be like someone who just took the antidote. Though it's funny she kept a spare change of clothes with her.
now that I think about it, wasn't easier to just have Genta break a window with the axe. I mean, if she seems ok at her height in that smoke, then Genta could he tried to break a window with the axe. Anyway, I still want to the rest of the pages since those were 3 random ones(10, 12(13), 16)

Y'know I realized something (spoiler free to boot!)
In the first file of this case, two things were mentioned on photos: 1) that Conan would be sending them to Kogoro which Kogoro would then show to Amuro and 2) Conan and the DB would take a picture all together with their rings on. If that group picture were included in the package, Amuro might see Haibara.

Though, considering she's Shiho and took an antidote supposedly to work on Conan, she'll be sticking around as her older form for a while...well, given continuity. Gosho could go against his own logic involving Shinichi's immunity for the sake of not getting into a tight spot, but I believe Shiho will be here for quite some time. That said, I wonder how she's going to get back to Agasa's house. If the kids all faint that will do wonders to keep her secret at that point...but how would she keep it if she needs a ride back? I guess Agasa could take the DB while Conan waits with Shiho...and then the Sera/Haibara confrontation happens?
Something I would like to see from this case - something that would make it even better, in my opinion - is Conan going back to his previous "development". I am very aware that Moonlight Sonata was eons upon eons ago, but I still like to think that the impact it caused is still there. So that's why I'm thinking, that once Conan finds the culprit and gets him to spill where the DB are, when Conan gets to the cabin it'll already be largely burnt down. Considering how Seiji's death occurred, this would probably hit Conan hard, and maybe he'd have a short episode like Satou did when she thought Takagi had died in the exploding car. Of course it wouldn't last long and someone would point out his friends were okay, but even a short moment to show how much he cares - to have him shed that mask - would be awesome.
Low chance of it happening, but I can hope until next week at least ^^ Hold you hopes high, but your expectations low, I'd like to say

And Sonoci, I like your theory. It was eons ago, but it was a pretty huge stage in Conan/Shinichi's developement, and you can tell that sometimes even now, he tries to keep the DB as safe as possible, and there's a chance that he would never forgive himself if anything happened to the 3 (4 counting Ai) of them. So I would like to see it too.
