after seeing the spoilers I have mixed feelings about this

it's nice seeing her normal sized after so long, but I kinda wanted to see Conan and Sera solving the case with him worring lesss about his identity. I mean Sera followed them all the way here and doesn't get to do much. Well, this "*A murderous-looking mistress with a bloody ax appeared! Grrrgh!* :furious:" was amusing so I'm looking forward to the chapter, hoping Sera will get a bit more spotlight too.

after seeing the spoilers I have mixed feelings about this

it's nice seeing her normal sized after so long, but I kinda wanted to see Conan and Sera solving the case with him worring lesss about his identity. Well I think Sera got a lot of spotline in most of the recent file,as a detective...If the Ai/Sera confrontation is in the next file,it will be nice to see her doing something different than solving a case and kicking bad guys.

does anyone notice the ring on the floor on the last page? mitsuhiko clearly still has his ring on, so the one on the floor is most likely intended to be some kind of clue(or red herring) to the case. i think gosho purposely mentioned the bell train express for the sake of this case AND possibly to build up hype. just pointing out the fact that the ring may have another purpose storyline-wise =)

If it is indeed the ring (as I think I saw it but it was quite difficult to see) I think it was Haibara's. I can believe that she would take it off so the chances of the DB thinking it was her were lowered.

However, considering she came from a room "magically" since no one else was there before and there were no other entrances leading to it, the chances of her not being recognized are pretty slim. I really wonder how Gosho's going to get out of this one.

A ring? Isn't it merely Mitsuhiko's watch that he dropped when he slipped on the blood? It would explain why the area on the ground is brighter as well and he doesn't seem to have his in his hand anymore.

I'm so glad. I wonder why Conan AND Sera didn't manage to find the kids in time. Furthermore, why didn't they recognise the burning hut?!
Gosho said he likes to draw strong girls. I assume it's Shiho-chan's turn right now after Sera and Ran.

I personnally think the DB will faint because of the smoke,and they won't see Shiho's face.I think it's the only way for Gosho to get out of this situation.

Hm, yeah, it must be someone else with how Gosho uses handedness

I mean, it's not like she could just - I don't know - switch the axe to her other hand once the door is open and she has to use it for something other than carrying it.

All kidding aside, I don't quite get this. Under different circumstances - heck, maybe with the whole file - I might see a possibility for it being someone else. But at this moment we know: 1) there are no other entrances besides the door the kids are facing 2) With Mitsuhiko checking the room in the previous file I doubt he would have missed a person 3) On page 13 Haibara thought (according to translation) "If this is it... Then I..." while looking at the backpacks (the female one which would have had clothes she could use) 4) With the way the kids are positioned on the ground, Haibara could have easily slipped away 5) which she did on the last page apparently and 6) the resemblance to Shiho

If there weren't so many things pointing to it being Shiho along with things pointing against someone else, I could buy into the possibility of it being someone else. But right now the only thing that seems to suggest it being someone else is handedness, which is a bit weak since she's using both hands (one to open door, obviously and one to hold the axe) which is easily fixed by her switching the axe to the other hand. I also don't know about anyone else, but I often opt to open doors with my dominant hand almost moreso when I'm carrying something.

I think it would be pretty interesting for the possibility of it being another person or a red herring or something, but right now I just don't see how it could happen  Perhaps the whole file might have more possibilities?
