About Sera... I'm totally lost. It's obvious she knows who Conan is... and what was all that "I'm a bad kid" thing?
And Okiya... that was the reckless thing Conan have done in the last 30 chapters. He's making a lot of mistakes lately. In the last two, he left the bathroom while was playing Shinichi in the phone and left the voice changer on site, and Sera noticed it too. The next issue is going to be THE ISSUE, I can't waaait!

Now Ran tried the checking the phone thing in Episode 400 a.k.a Phone Gate and was fooled there I doubt trying again would turn up differently. If she wanted to check she just missed the moment to grab Conan's phone on the spot.  After that moment Conan could just say he deleted the email and get out of it.

I was thinking at the Ran-Conan scene and it was almost like as if Ran said: "You're Conan, right? So don't act as Shinichi in front of others idiot! What about your secret identity?! Why are you so reckless?"

Now in all seriousness> it's something related to Akai(read Conan 48:69's post on the other thread, it's pretty much spot-on on this matter).

Just a note though: There should be an explanation on why Conan is suddenly acting very stupidly despite the fact that there is a bunch of suspicious people around him. Not to mention the biggest mistake in this chapter, which surprised even Ran, who is used to hearing Conan deducting cases.

@Conan's mistake: Well, he has two skilled detectives on his hooks, who ask questions that normally nobody ask. And Conan easily slips under such pressure. (Remember the mistakes he made, when Heiji discovered his identity.)

But Ran's comment was indeed a bit strange. Her lines remind me of something similar she said during the Grey Planer case.

Which was shortly before the Desperate Revival case, were we found out that Ran was actually already sure that he was Shinichi.

Looks like Aoyama's setting up to finally reveal who Bourbon is and reveal Shinichi's identity to Ran.

Which means that what will probably happen is that Ran is fooled by the fact that Conan makes pancakes a different shape to Shinichi while Okiya turns out to be Eisuke, Sera turns out to be Akai indulging his crossdressing dreams and Amuro turns out to be a red shirt that gets murdered by Eri, who turns out to be Bourbon.

I'm still wondering why Okiya wins the deduction match. For me, his hinting at the solution -- making Conan think thoroughly and connecting to some weird Ninja history -- resembles Yusaku's doing, who always left some vague clues for his son as soon as he had figured out everything (eg., recently in the London case).

Thus I believe Okiya/Akai has some connection to Yusaku because I don't attribute such skills to Akai (although he did pretty well at that time). Especially because Okiya was not even at the crime scene from the first death, and therefore could only listen to what he was told about that incident.

Absolutely agree. She "didn't realize" the truth just because she don't want to. That scene was like "keep lieing to me".

This keeps bothering me. How Okiya knewed about that? It seems like he knew before everybody what happened.
I doubt Okiya is Yuusaku, but in the last file he absolutely acted just like him.

I think Conan acting stupid is like how he keep talking into the bugs and dressed up as Haibara in Episode 345, he is setting up a Trap for Bourbon.

And the plot continues! I'm guessing Sera was crying since it relates to her past (obviously) and this will probably set something up revealing more of her past.

I can't believe what happened on the last page of file 813, then what Okiya said on page 3 of file 814. Seems like Okiya knows the truth now...

Not sure if this idea has been brought up yet, but here's a random thought that I had about Okiya in this file...  I'm probably wrong, but I just thought I would spark some discussion and play devil's advocate 

What if Shinichi's parents payed Conan a visit shortly before this case, sort of like how Yukiko did in the Vermouth arc.  Okiya, who is Akai, revealed to Conan that Ai and his sister Sera are getting suspicious of his true identity.  Ai was checking his neck for a mark, or voice changer, or something in a previous file.  And since Akai doesn't want his sister to be put in any danger, figured it would be best for her to continue thinking he was dead.

Now let's say Conan had Yukiko disguise Yusaku as Okiya just for a day or two, to try to put one over on whoever was suspicious.  That would explain the reason he was using his right hand to brush his teeth.  It would also explain the wig hair and lipstick that were found in the sink by Sera.  Perhaps it would also explain why Okiya/Yusaku knew the outcome of the case before Conan, and ultimately gave him the hint needed to solve it:  Yusaku already knew from 10 years ago, and dropping hints for Shinichi is something his father has done for him since the beginning of the Manga.

Going along with the "Sera is Akai's sister theory", perhaps this did fool Sera.  Which could explain why she was crying at the end of file 814 and thinking 'I'm a bad kid".  She failed at keeping her older brother out of trouble, and now she believes he really is dead.  However, it was a "disguise of a disguise" used to keep her out of harm's way.

Although it's a whole 'nother topic, I'm guessing she started to piece things together about Akai being hidden by Conan when she became suspicious about Conan and Shinichi being the same person.  If Shinichi was working with Akai, then he wouldn't allow him to die.

But I could go on forever about what I think Sera is up to, and that really isn't all that relevant right now.  And the same theory is already pretty brilliantly outlined on these forums already.  So yeah, I'll spare you.


Those are just some random thoughts that I had, and like I said before, they might not be correct.  There are some really smart people on these boards, so I thought I would throw some ideas out there for you guys to discuss .  And if this has already been discussed here, then I apologize.  And although this is my first post, I've read these forums for a few years now, and I've been reading Detective Conan for many more.  I really think that this arc is a masterpiece, as much as I find myself saying "Ha!  This is what's really going on...", I also find myself saying "Okay, but now what about this part?"

Oh, and sorry if this is posted in the wrong place too.  I am just a noob
