I had a mini thought about this.. but since Gosho took a break to "gather information" he's probably gonna continue with Okiya, Haibara and Conan.. and the DB (+Agasa) ?

I think if it is an new case after "gather info" it is time to to bring Sera back in the picture and have some Sera-Haibara tension

Yes, after all Gosho said in an interview he was planning a Sera-Haibra confrontation, so maybe yup it's almost time.

But since we saw Haibara in the recent files,I don't think she will appear again in the next file.
I think Sera will appear,with Ran and Sonoko...maybe she'll ask questions about Amuro or Okiya...

On a more serious note, if Okiya really is Akai, I find it hard to believe that he's hiding a scar or a tattoo there. If he has good enough disguise skills to convincingly masquerade as Okiya for so long, you'd think he'd have been able to take more precautions to hide an identifying mark on his neck than "oh noes! If she looks under my scarf the charade is over!"

he disguises as Okiya because he realizes he has to, but secretly due to his risk-taking nature, he likes only having his identifying neck-mark hidden by a scarf.

It gets him randy.
