For me, the trick to Nuzlocking is to level-grind like crazy to minimize the risks. I've also started switching out/healing Pokemon when they're two hits from death, because I've lost too many to critical hits.

Agreed.... I just battled Gary on Route 22, I leveled up my Bulbasaur and Rattata to Lvl 12 before battling

Also, visited 15 times the Viridiran Pokemon Center \o/

EDIT: My battle with Gary:
Rattata vs Pidgey
*Rattata uses Quick Attack* Good!
*Pidgey uses Sand-Attack* $:-\$ I hope that doesn't bring trouble...
*Rattata misses Quick Attack* IONHROINEWOFINORSGNV
*Pidgey critical hits his Tackle* I'M DOOMED!

But luckily after I used a potion Rattata landed all her attacks ^^

Nothing super exciting happening here so far... Just level-grinding before I really hit Viridian Forest (skipped the grass on Route 2, went in to the forest, caught Caterpie, left, caught Pidgey on Route 2). Not quite ready to battle my rival yet.

Also I like how my male starter is surrounded by females.

I already have a nuzlocke firered save that I started a couple weeks ago - I skipped Lt. Surge since I had no one good against lightning (my Diglet got owned somehow, I forgot) and I think I just owned the crap out of Erika.

I don't really know how this forum game will work, or if its just like an updating status thing, but if its okay I don't mind posting my team or w.e

EDIT: I just opened up my save, and I have no recollection of where I last left off. Plus I don't have any motivation to play..soo..yeah..

It's really just everyone updating together and chatting about anything interesting happening XD

I was well proud of beating Brock with no deaths, since on my last FR run I lost a Kakuna and a Butterfree to beat Brock... and then my Butterfree was immediately killed by a trainer's Ekans. ;_; HOW DID THAT EVEN HAPPEN?!

_{No pokemon from Viridian Forest, because the first pokemon I encountered there, was a Caterpie which decided to get OHKO'd by my Aderyn's tackle.

Alright so, got the boulder badge. \o/ Bellona was awesome beating up Brock's geodude and Onix. <3

After that I went onto route 3 and defeated all the trainers, hah, too easy. Decided to try get myself another pokemon and found a male Pidgey (another!? ) which I caught. I'm going to keep it in the box as a backup in case Aderyn should die...*Hoping that won't be the case*

Oh! I'm seriously considering buying the over-prized magikarp for my Route 4 pokemon, just to get a water type early on...I totally did it.}
