Thought jokes aside sometimes I wonder if people's perception would change if that's the case. I never saw gender as something too important but I know some people do. Like OMG THE GUY MUST BE TALL AND SEME or it's "awesome" if a guy can cook amazing but it's not so awesome when a girl can cook amazing. It's awesome when a girl is "pervy" but not when it's a guy (then he's a creep). Oh gender you so funny.

Yeah, it's weird like that.

Also, if guys cry even once they are suddenly "wimpy" but if a girl cries once it's okay. (if it's a lot, then it's a different story for people

I really like this pairing. I'm a huge sucker for the "Friends become Lovers" genre. It doesn't have to be childhood friends pairings, but they have to be friends or at least know each other first. I'm not really into "Love at first sight".

Well back to the topic. I think Shinichi and Ran are sweet and compatible with each other. I love when Shinichi change back to his old self, and we get to see them interact as Shinichi and Ran. The scence, where he is trying to cheer her up with the squirrel after the New York case, was so adorable. Also the way he always teases her. Another thing I like is that Shinichi thinks about Ran first before himself. When Sonoko wanted Ran to play tennis in a super mini skirt, Shinichi both wanted her to wear it, beacuse he wanted to see her in it, but on the other hand he did'nt wanted others to see it. That's why when they couldn't play tennis because of the rain, he wasn't sure if he should be happy or sad about it. But when he saw that Ran clearly was happy about not being able to wear the mini-skirt, he decided to be happy as well.
For Ran's part I really respect the fact that she is willing to trust and wait for Shinichi to return. Of course I know that there are several times in the manga where she has been in doubt about the whole thing, but can you blame her? I think that she loves him very much. And that is why she is able to just sit and wait, because believe me, that is not easy. Especially not for an active girl like Ran.

okay. let live up again this thread.

based on latest anime. Shinichi will have a potential rival. Sera is a good looking boy and also someone who practice martial arts.

we all know that if a couple have a same / similar hobbies, they will have more easy than other couple (like understanding each other hobbies, have same topic to talk about, )

so.. share your opinion about this:
Do you prefer if Shinichi have same hobbies with Ran (He practice martial arts) or Stay like now

For me, my answer is i like them just the way they are now.
Why? Because i like to see one of them complaining about others hobbies (how it dangerous or take too much time and attentions) and the one who being accuse try to defend his / her self while not wanting to hurt the accuser feeling.

*xpon imagining Shinichi complain about Ran trip to other city to attend Karate competition and when she ask the reason he will go blushing and murmur in low voice this: "there will be more handsome boy there" *
