Hah, I've seen Magicbox on the Funi forum when I lurk there to check up on some Case Closed news...I'm rather surprised he's so active in a pretty much dead Detective Conan forum, you should totally get him to come here... :P

That is a very good site, I especially like the DVD analysis, really cleared things up with Funi's horrible planning for their dvds...I mean come on, releasing out of order case episodes...then rereleasing the seasons...godamn.

Also, I was reading his movie 3 summary..and Haibara's english name is Vye Graythorne?! I can understand because she's taking it from Cordelia Gray and V.I., but that means they aren't going to be align with Viz's name (Anita Hailey)...

verry omoshiroi....

Well as far as adaptations go, that name is a good one.  It points out the oddity of "Haibara Ai" as a name.

Yeah, I suppose it's somewhat more...canonical than Anita Hailey because Anita Hailey doesn't really mean anything like her japanese name did...but, Ai Haibara doesn't come across as a "strange name" when I think of Japanese names (of course, from my perspective because i am not Japanese, so if someone will butt in and correct me, go ahead).

But when I, as an American, hear "Vye", I go wtf...boy or girl?..y'know what I mean?

Tambien, I've heard someone from funi forums that we could expect new episodes to be dubbed/released in 2011...take that with a grain of salt.

Not really.  Never heard of a guy using that name, so don't know where you're going with this one.

It's more like, if Funimation decides to license more of it, it couldn't possibly be released any time earlier than 2011.  It's not saying that they will be, or that it's likely, but that it's not possible for it to be released earlier without being a complete hack job.

You've never seen the Fresh Prince of Bel Air?  Will's mom in that is called Vye.  It's short for Vivian.

Ah, how come I didn't remember now? I had a feeling I heard that somewhere.

EDIT: Wait! I just remembered something! Wasn't she called Val (short for Valerie)?

The only people's names I remember are Will Smith, Uncle Phil, and my boy Carlton.

and she might not even by Vye according to Umandsf, but anyways, yeah, I've never heard anyone named Vye, or called Vye for short instead of Vivian
