Nice to see that the Knicks are actually doing OK right now. All things considered, I know a lot of folks are saying that Jeremy Lin's Cinderella story is going to end now, but I dunno. The kid legit can play ball. We'll see what happens later on.
How 'bout the Celtics collapsing like they have? I called this happening a few years ago, but I didn't expect the fall to be this fast. That Kendrick Perkins trade really screwed them over in more ways than they could have ever possibly imagined. Too bad hindsight is 20/20.

He can ball. The turnovers are kind of normal for PG who posesses the ball in a Dantoni system. I mean he's no Nash, who averaged about 3-4 turnovers back in PHX with Dantoni, but mind you this is the most NBA playing time he's ever had. A lot of promise for Jeremy.
Also, Kevin Durant is da future. Someone trade that ballhog westbrook.

As much I like Lin, I'd really like for him to maybe have a bad game so some of these bandwagoners can calm the hell down. These people are chanting Lin for MVP. NOT THAT GOOD. I also heard rumors that he might of replaced Joe Johnson for the East reserves, over Rajon Rondo...
Bandwagoners (essentially asian people who don't have a clue about basketball) need a wakeup call. Also, Derrick Rose or Dwayne Wade shall never be an all-star starter again. lol. Hello, Jeremy for the next 10 years!

This was to be expected. The Heat have it out for the Knicks every year, especially Wade, and Lin was going to meet the wall at some point. This should've been the game where Amar'e and Melo, two experts at playing competition of this level, told Lin to step aside and to let them take over. When the best player out there was Steve flippin' Novak you know your team is in trouble. Amar'e and Melo just didn't have it in them tonight. The Heat were monsters.

That really does sum up the whole night.CarpetCrawler wrote: When the best player out there was Steve flippin' Novak you know your team is in trouble.
Lin is a good player--I think he has a big future. He still has plenty of time to iron out his fundamentals and improve on ball control. Despite all the criticism about turnovers, I'd still rather have a guy who (before tonight at least) can make points while turning the ball over a few times instead of a guy who makes no points while not turning it over. The Heat have a really fierce defense, so with them coming into the game hot (pun intended) and focusing on shutting him down, it's no surprise he wasn't able to do much.
The Knicks have a week before they play the Cavs at the Garden. ...Yeaaaaah, they should be able to come back from this pretty quickly.

Don't belittle the Cavs, Kyrie Irving will give Jeremy a run for his money.
Also, Knicks be screwed - it's a Dantoni system with only 2 players - everyone else doesn't fit in. Besides Novak, who else is considered a threat from 3? I'll be honest, Lin and Amare are the only two people who seem to fit into Dantoni's offense. Everyone else just doesn't belong.
Also, if NY actually wants a real true run at the championship..they gotta rebuild. Melo isn't someone who can mesh into Dantoni's system. His only game is iso.
With only championship goals in mind, here's what I'd do based off Dantoni still being a coach. Trade Melo for an athletic finisher/threat from 3 along with some future picks. Get a plethora of three point specialists. Get Nash back on the team. Possibly trade Lin when his stock is at its highest to get incredible value. Dantoni ball doesn't need defense, trade Tyson for more young, explosive offensive talent.
What am I getting at is, New York Suns. The Suns were a top 3 team in the league couple years back, and were far better than any team in the East. All you gotta do is switch locations.
btw..I'm going to Knicks @ Spurs on March 7th. Kwahi is about to shutdown Linsanity.

GINOBILI!!! 17 pnts, 6 assists, 4 reb in 26 minutes as the 3rd scorer on a team. Dat some epic stuph right there.
Also, Parker showed Lin why he's a finals mvp and how Lin is still a sophomore.
Great game, so many Manu fans my body was just climaxing.
