as uman said, it's probably just the image (as he doesn't have a taskbar either), but yeah it's possible to have no icons on your desktop.

Although in XP at least, you had to edit the registry to let windows allow you to take the Recycling Bin icon off the desktop.
Yes, the recycling bin was the one surprising me. But the taskbar can be made invisible.

As others have said, its just my BG image, didnt feel like taking a new SS then uploading it.
