Actually, I spotted it on TV two years ago, and that night I read five volumes, I think. At that time, I only cared about the mysteries and didn't know DC had 500+ episodes.
Now, a year ago my RL friend convinced me to watch it again and I watched all the ShinRan cases story-centric episodes during the summer vacation. Well, not episodes really, just read the manga.

DC is too long for me to watch entirely, so I just stick to the manga which for some reason I find much more entertaining. [Yay no crappy animation]

because animax only put on air to episode 170 and i thought to start looking in the internet then i found detectiveconan.ws and i start watching but i never watched episode 1 before that

Lol. I had a terrible nightmare in which I couldn't find all the DC episodes on youtube XD

Keep in mind I'm not a hardcore otaku, I've only completed watching 3 anime series other than DC. :< So yeah, youtube was my best bet.

their first kiss? knowing Shinichi, he probably planned some date and when he finally tells her his feelings (after forty-freaking-eight years), all the other people in the restaurant would squeal and request a kiss and:

Shinichi: *looks at the cheering crowd* should we give in to their request? *insert mischievous grin here*

then they kiss

or.....somebody had waaayyy to much sugar/alcohol during their christmas party and started decorating the room with mistletoe. lots of them. and Shinichi and Ran were standing right under one....
