It would be pretty darn fantastic if we could connect Takagi to the BO somehow (through his parents or any means really).  It would certainly add depth to his character.  Let's face it:  we know precious little of his background.


The idea that he's going to visit his parents' graves has merit, I think.  It could be his mother's ring in his notebook...

after reading file 804, a few queries
"this is something perishable ,so please open it right away ,if you delay tomorrow ....."
does it means takagi will die in next 24hours??

and the feed ,is that live or recorded ??
from the way camera switches ,it seems recorded to me.
so takagi has already died??

why no disguise by old man??
well it is more of a coincidence that DB(-conan) were there and talking about takagi.
practically the old man should have either gave it straight to sato and risk being his face recorded on camera(after vermouth's breakthrough i am sure that they have cameras) or send it as a package which may be opened 1 week later.
either way it is not beneficial.(DB sure are lifesavers of criminals!)

Conan explained this: Takagi laid down on a beam with a noose around his neck, so once he falls asleep(this assume that everyone rolls in their sleep, which I don't know if it is totally true but probably is) and roll over he will fall and hang himself. 24hr is probably a estimate on how long before Takagi become too sleepy(after about a day without sleep the brain will force you to enter a deep sleep state to make up for the sleep you lost in the previous day) and dies.

Your other questions:
Takagi have not died and will not die, Main/Recurring characters(and Takagi is one) do not die is a general DC rule(name me 1 character that appeared in more than 5 cases and is definately dead? Aki don't count since there have always been disputes). The feed is live and there is a also mike connecting from the IPAD and the Camera that's right above Takagi judging by how he reacted to Conan and Sato shouting at him through the IPAD.

I think if the Children were not there he would have just given it to an officer passing by or put it down closer to the entrance. He probably have some trumatic loss regarding his lover so he wanted Sato and Takagi to suffer in the same fashion.

p.s one interesting side note, Takagi's flight(there is no indication that he boarded) is going to Totorri, the last time that place is mentioned it was in the 160 range with the Spider Web murder case. This time it is another attempt kill someone by hanging.

Conan's phone has been pretty steadily evolving really, I'm actually more surprised at the introduction of a tablet computer being used in such a throwaway manner.

Takagi in danger.. that sounds quite interesting I wonder how they'll make it to save him. I like the idea that Amuro came to look for files about Akai's death and/or ask questions to Takagi who wasn't there but wouldn't it be susipicious/bizarre even if he said that he knew Akai to get informations about his death.. It happened a long time ago after all I don't think Takagi would remember the details.

And I don't think it was Haibara he was talking about since he probably never saw her and wouldn't mind 'cause his goal is Akai first.

Even without some stranger trying to hang him, Takagi is probably in danger if he really has connections to the BO. He was connected to cases involving the BO, including the case of Akai's death. If the BO should investigate it, they might get the idea that he is involved with the FBI or some other organisation.
He can be relieved that it wasn't him who was sent to Tottori to investigate the bank robbery series.

btw, I think it is interesting what amount of things happened "last year" in-universe. Was that when a shinigami mooved to Tokyo or what?

Takagi's practicing an escape artist act for the police talent contest, but fell asleep.  He should be more careful.

I don't think there's enough to form any solid theories yet.  But, I do think Amuro was looking for Haibara, and that Vermouth is involved in that.

Not even 2 months, you sure? I can't really judge how time passes in DC but if so, he should remember. But it would still be bizarre for Amuro to ask things about Akai'death to Takagi. Even if he says he knew him it'd be strange.. without crucial proof I mean, I just wonder what he'd say to Takagi. But maybe the sense of what he said wasn't referring to Takagi or other police officer to begin with '^^

Do they just have to find the right construction site with just luck? Or are they going to ask Takagi yes/no questions to maybe get some leeway?

@sonoci: They are probably going to ask Takagi what was he doing and where did he go in the whole day. The other possibility would be hints sent by the criminal somehow.

But overall, a rather impredictable case so far. It can go many ways.

I worded it wrong. That's what I meant there(blame my bad english). They are probably going to pinpoint some location/person by asking him specific questions which he can answer by nodding.
