^Well, if it's put that way...I think Akai, Shiho, AND Shinichi should all just take turns at him for target practice.

Digested in the belly of the Sarlaac for a thousand years.
...Is what I'd LIKE to happen, but really I think Akai's probably going to just shoot him in the face again, only properly this time.

Not happening IMO. I doubt that an almost main character will ever kill anyone.Citan wrote: I'm not exactly sure when and how it will happen, but I do believe Gin's final defeat should and will come at the hands of Shiho.
Gin took away her sister. He drove her into hiding, threatened the lives of her friends, and has pretty much made her exsistance a living hell. All this time she's had to hide, believing her only choice was to keep running from him. Shiho's character arc began with Gin, and it will end with him. It will end when she chooses to stop running. When she finally turns and faces the monster who has destroyed her life, her family, and driven her into exile, her growth as a character will be complete. I know that the whole BO is hunting her, but Gin is their face. The one she fears and hates most. The one who has caused her the most grief. Shiho will be the one to end Gin.
This is what I believe.

arms broken so that he can never use guns, vocal chords destroyed ,then shrunk & taken to place where he is under surveillance & full of overly nice people...and he'll die by suicide because he couldn't take it anymore...

^ Not just overly nice people. A place where he can suffer the being crushed on by Ayumi. Constantly.

Re: How would Gin die?
I think that's my favourite.skyechan wrote: As joked about in our DCW Podcast:
As Gin is aiming a gun at Shin'ichi, Eisuke comes out of nowhere and trips over a wire, dropping a chandelier on Gin's head.
Seriously, though, it's either Akai or a suicide where he'll take someone else down with him. Can't imagine it any other way... unless there's some serious development for him to die protecting someone else (as Irish did in the Raven Chaser movie), I can't imagine he'd die for something like that... besides, it wouldn't mesh well with the character we knew as one of the primary and most recognizable antagonists of the story, right?
Gin's supposed to be cold and ruthless. He's also supposed to be very clever and not an easy opponent to beat.
Having a minor character defeat him would cheapen his character a bit, I'd feel.
Although, Haibara killing him seems like it'd be great for her development, it'd actually undo so much of it. She's always been different from Shinichi/Conan (see even the current Domestic Violence case with the Detective Boys; she's harsher in her judgement than Conan and much less forgiving), but she never wanted to kill. It'd drag her back to almost being on the same level as the Sherry who was forced to make poison. Remember when she pointed a gun at that Silver Fox lady in one of the earliest cases she was in?
It's better for her to let him live; she doesn't have to forgive like Conan does, but she shouldn't have to kill anymore, even if I also believe Gin is pretty much irredeemable.
She should DEFINITELY play a role in bringing him down, though!
Akai killing him would make much more sense, especially if there's no way around it.
Shinichi forgiving him, but still getting him captured by the police/FBI/whatever would be a likely ending, but I wouldn't want that for Gin.
He's very prideful and even if he's utterly loathsome, Gin wasting away in prison is not the end I'd imagine for him. It'd definitely be the worst for him... if he didn't break out somehow, that is.
Or maybe he'd be captured, put on death row, and executed? That might be a tiny bit more dignified an ending for him.
LOOOOOONG story short: it's either shot by Akai (he must be alive! ;_; ) or he'll favour committing suicide over being caught, probably in a way that will wipe out as many other people with him.
