She must remain in her child form as Ai Haibara.  :)

There will come a time when a situation arises that she might choose give up her safety, if just a brief moment.  :|
Yeah of course for now she has to stay as a kid because the BO is chasing her...I just want her to become Shiho by taking a pill by accident, even if it's only during 24 hours...
unlike Shinichi, she won't risk her life to become Sherry just for fun...

And She having the most fun just by observing and studying his condition after taking an experimental drug antidote.  ;D

Well, that's the beauty about mysteries and suspense. You can never tell what happen.  >:D

In Gosho case, it really unpredictable.  :|

That why I enjoy Detective Conan. You never tell what's going to happen.  ;D

Maybe she can turn back anytime if Gosho put police and FBI in the test. Let's say the government has discovered the existence of B.O. after terrorist were personally handcuff by police and decided to be wary of mole who want to grow other head. So if put down B.O. is difficult even Shinichi managed to get B.O. down and still be targeted Shiho can't get herself in prison if she personally accepted government's protection to be reformed as way to weed out corrupted officer.

My guess: Shiho is too important if she's not going to jail if she asked to provide information for giving valuable information to trusted hands who wants B.O. down for good.

I still maintain that she's far more likely to stay as Haibara Ai. Ai has a grandpa, friends and a future. Miyano Shiho either gets killed or a prison sentence.

I have to agree. Shiho is the exact opposite of Shinichi. She doesn't want to get her old life BACK. She wants to escape from it. Her old life was nothing but pain and death. As Haibara Ai she has a chance to start over. It seems more likely to me that she'll resist turning back as much as possible.

She might turn back to face Akai. (Since it has to do with her sister she might chose to face him as her true self) or possible during the "final battle" with the BO. But I don't se her ever turning back permanantly, and even at the end of the series I think it's more likely she'll choose to stay Haibara Ai, and start a new life for herself free from the BO. (Even with the BO officially destroyed Miyano Shiho would never be free of them. Any member that escapes would hunt her as the traitor that ruined them. Or they'd send hired assassins after her. Even if not she'd have the police and the FBI on her for her criminal past.)

So don't expect "Shiho" to return very often at all expect in extreme circumstances.

I still believe that staying as Ai Haibara would be a waste in her character developement...
It would be as if she was choosing the easiest solution, instead of triying to build her life as an adult...
I don't think this is the kind of lesson that Gosho wants to teach us...
I still think that she has to assume her responsibilities concerning her role in the BO...That would show she has changed and has a sense of justice now ^^
Moreover if Shiho helps the FBI to take down the BO I'm sure they could protect her and help her to avoid being sent into jail ^^
I just want to say that for now we don't exactly know what she is going to do...

Citan's theory makes sense to me.

All I want is to see her canonically at least one more time before the end of the series. But if someone were to sub the remastered version of that episode, that would suffice.  ;)

I also believe that she will stay as Haibara after the ending. She can grow up as a new person and attempt to right the wrongs the BO did on the world, and on her.
Knowing the truth and knowing what to do with the truth are two completely separate ideas. Learn to distinguish them. OR ELSE.

I believe if she helped the FBI, they would help clear her record, even if she doesn't turn back into Shiho. They already know about who she is anyway.

The BO a criminal business organization and is run by a chain of superiors. If the "boss" were to die/be locked up along with the preceding high ranked members, the organization would just crumble. It wouldn't be a paying job anymore, there would be no business happening. If you take the business and the money out of the organization, there's no need to avenge anyone unless you want revenge for being imprisoned. And, personally, I think it's unlikely they'll escape unless the boss bails them all out somehow. Even then, everyone would know about the organization anyway, which would make them exposed and less successful.

In any case, if Shiho does turn back to herself, I think she'll move away to America...or something. o.o

True...So even if she turn back to her adult form,I don't think she'll be in danger...there would be no need to stay as a child...ok she has friends ,but even in her adult form she could stay with Agasa, and take care of the DB,she can be friend with Ran,Sonoko and Sera...she can have a good life even with her true appearance...
But if Gosho wants to choose the easier solution for her, then she'll stay as Haibara Ai...

I don't think it's an easy solution, it's the best for her I think, she never had a childhood, she didn't live with friends around her. Ai has all of this and she can start a new life for herself, not to live up to expectations of others.
Even though she'll probably have to become more open with others, but maybe once the BO is taken down, she'll have less to worry about.
