It is pretty evident that you are the product of religious upbringing

I am not the result of a religious upbringing: in fact, my parents and grandparents tried to convince me for years there is no God. It was my choice, not someone else’s.

Also... (to leokiko) All debates should be taken seriously no matter the subject matter. I took a writing class about two years ago where we had a debate to strengthen how to build an argument. The debate was on the best character of the Wizard of Oz that was not of the main cast. I somehow convinced my group to take the flying monkeys with fez hats (part of the reason was that I came up with an awesome opening statement, I wish I had written it down). So yeah, I was debating with 3 other groups that those monkeys with fez hats were the best characters in the Wizard of Oz. As ridiculous as the subject matter was everyone took it seriously, and we almost won. Granted, part of the reason was that my professor was apparently a Doctor Who fan and liked that one of my arguments was that the Doctor thinks fez hats are cool and therefore the monkeys are cool as well for having them (sad part is only 4 people, including myself and the professor understood what I meant ). And btw, not one group managed to destroy that particular argument .<.

If you are still in school, this is how you should write every paper you are ever going to write

I am not in school, I have almost finished the university. If somebody thinks that the reason for me seeming immature is my age, that’s not the case.

1) An initial statement (this is the point you are trying to prove)

My initial statement was that I personally like heterosexual relationships more than homosexual ones.

2) At least 2 supporting pieces of evidence (or reasoning if it is a matter of opinion)

I think the concept of sexuality is strongly linked to the concept of procreation. That’s the original aim, in my opinion. Pleasure is just a side effect. That’s why I also don’t consider couples without children as real families. In my opinion, they are partnerships, not families. There is nothing wrong, it’s just a different concept.

I think children need a mother and a father because they are mutually complementary. Two fathers or two mothers are too similar, even though they are different people, they are still more similar than if they were of different genders. The child educated by them in my opinion could often form a too “flatâ€

Naturally parents matter, but to say that a kid will have a "flat" personality if raised by one gender (this includes homo and single parents), what kind of statement is that? Or do you honestly believe that the only ones that matters when a child develops their personality is their parents? If that was the case I should be like my parents, should I not? But I am not like my parents, we have different views on many things, different hobbies, different type of humour. Even if we naturally share some it really is different. Also according to that logic, I should be mostly like my mother since I lived with her since I was eight and my big sister should be more like father since she lived with him since she was ten.

But can you believe it, she is more like mother than father, though to be honest, she is more herself than anyone else though the two of us are very much alike, almost on the verge of creepy twins alike. So the question is then, is it because we were raised of the same parents, is it because of genetics, or maybe, maybe is it because of influences from other things than our parents? My belief is that it is a mix, but mainly it is the last.

I believe it is important to draw inspiration from many different sources, many different people, I have many persons I look up to (even people in the church from my time there) and I think that everyone you interact with influences you, some a lot other just a teeny tiny bit. So does one gender raised children end up with a "flat" personality? No, not more often than two gender raised kids does.
