Live Action #2 - Icky?

For all those who've seen the second live-action drama, did anyone else find it a little strange watching a 7-year-old boy Conan thinking and looking affectionately towards a 17-year-old Ran?

For some reason, I have no problems accepting it when reading the manga or watching the anime, but in the live action version, it just seems a little wrong for some reason.

I didn't find it strange. It was just depicting the anime in a live action drama it would've been lame/dumb/flase if it didn't happen since it happens like that in the actual anime,  no complaints from this side I personally like the live action drama.

i don't see how i can rewatch the live action drama 2 now without thinking "ewww" for the part.  thanks for pointing it out to me.  honestly i didn't notice really, since that's just how it is for detective conan anime/manga.  but now...hmm...

i think its the same as in the manga/anime. it is definately strange but hey, its a fictional story, not the real life! accept it or choose another series!

He's in the body of a little boy, but his mind is 17-years old. That's why I wasn't squicked out at all. Now, had that been real life otoh...

I guess what it is is that when watching the live-action, I know the actors are really their own age.  So the actor playing conan is a real 7-year-old who's having to act affectionately towards this 17-year-old.  At least his lines are dubbed so that he doesn't actually have to say any of it, and they did do a good job of keeping it pretty mild.

I didn't think about it until it was brought up here. Suspension of disbelief really applies to me.

Actually it's kinda ok at least Conan and Haibara's voices were done  by Misami and Megumi. Hearing those voices, I could imagine the story with the anime characters acting in it

You guys uh... do realize that little kids develop crushes on adults all the time. Right?

I've only seen the beginning of the second live action special, so that didn't bother me. I was just bothered when they turned into adults from eating RUM CAKE.
I can suspend my disbelief for many things, but when it delved into the relm of cake.... yeesh.  (That, and I can't stand live-action Shinichi. He was such a jerk in the first special that I didn't feel like dealing with him again in the second.  Love Shinichi in the anime though.)

I don't think any of the actors look like the chars they're supposed to except Megure. He needs a bigger belly and bigger cheeks though.

I disagree.  I think several are pretty close, especially Kogoro!

I don't think it's that bad; I didn't mind about the subbing...XD
I mean, they act like brother and sister, haha
