Were there ever any recurring suspects?

Post by Brekclub85 »

Bye that, I mean whether it be in an AO or a magna-based case, were there ever characters who made at least one reappearance after being a suspect in their first appearance? (Kid doesn't count for this topic.)

I can recall that one of Kogoro's friends from his class reunion in volume 9 returned in an AO episode, but that's all I can think of right now.

What come to mind are the creepy twin maids from the One Hour AO special about the masks, "A Cursed Mask Coldly Laughs." They also appeared a few months later in "The Black Wing of Icarus," working as, you guessed it, maids.

If I recall, there was that one magician.  He was suspected of being Kid once, and then showed back up when his teacher was killed and was suspected again.  He was then referenced (but I don't recall him appearing) when Conan, Ran, Heiji, and Kazuha went to see a magic show.

I always thought it was fishy that Ran recognized him in that case when his teacher was killed since she was supposed to have been out cold in the lifeboat when she "met" him on the ship.

Me too, although it's because those two stories were put into the anime in the wrong order.

I think that magician was the most frequently-mentioned suspect after his two main appearances.

Good point.

Also, I remember in the first Kid case, in addition to the magician, they brought back Sonoko's sister's fiance, the chef from the wealthy family's cruise case from volume 3, and one of the party guests from the billionaire's birthday case in volume 9.

Also, Takeshi and Natsue from volume 3 are mentioned in volume 23 during the train case...or was that 22? Umm...the couple from volume 10 in the case where Heiji first appears reappear in volume 28 near the end....that's all I know.

I love it when suspects from previous cases reappear~

Also, I forgot about that man who was attacked in the case at the pier, he was brought back for the Ikkaku Rock case, along with the fisherman who drove the boat. I think the fisherman even helped the Detective Boys and Okiya solve the Ikkaku Rock case, correct me if I'm wrong...

I want to see an innocent suspect or even a victim-type (knew the murdered, was assaulted, etc.) appear a second time and be the culprit.

Even Gin was innocent once.

xDD
It's true!
You made me giggle. You deserve a cookie. *sends cookies*

Although one could argue that there was never anything innocent about him. Didn't Vodka kick a kid as they were getting on the coaster? And of course there's also the whole issue of just what they were doing at that amusement park together.

Granted, dating your co-worker doesn't seem to be against any sort of Organization rules.

Back on-topic: Lessee, the two detectives from the Fuurinkazan case came back, even if they weren't suspects. Would Hakuba count? But then again, he was never seriously considered a suspect at the Detective Koshien, was he? *hems and haws*
